I stretched my arms and massaged my wrists side to side before opening my planner to the five days before thanksgiving putting pen to paper I began to plan out what I needed to do, basing it of course on when it needed to be done by. Day one: Gather and locate the decor, centerpiece, linens, silverware and dishes to be used. Day two: Dress shopping with Rebekah (Yes I have to set aside a whole day for this, that's just what it takes with Rebekah) Day 3 Simultaneously tracking down the Mikaelson's favorite 1920's Liquor, Wines, and Spirits. While choosing the perfect Christmas cards (Elijah likes to make sure they have enough time to get where they're going and thus he prefers we send the cards out by the end of at least 3 days after Thanksgiving. Day Four: Deep Clean the house to make sure it's sparkling and ready for guests, make sure table is set perfectly, Address all Christmas cards by end of day. I sat back satisfied and nodded at my planner before looking to see what time it was. Noting that it was 9:30 Am on this fine Sunday, I grabbed a blank note sheet of paper from my desk and tucked my pen behind my ear and made my way to Elijah's study to see if he'd be willing to help with my first task. I stepped up to the door and knocked waiting for a response. "Who is it?" Elijah asked. "It's Y/n, I was wondering if I could please ask a favor of you?" I called back through the door. "Of course, Come in, anything for family." He stated smiling down at me as he opened the door. "Thank you." I sighed in relief. He turned and walked back to his desk sitting down at it. I make sure the door is closed behind me before taking the seat across from him. "So whatever can I help you with Darling?" Elijah asked with a soft smile but furrowed eyebrows. I glanced outside to make sure no one was peering in the window before placing the piece of paper I'd brought with me onto the desk I pulled the pen from behind my ear and wrote out:

Firstly, I'm writing this out instead of saying it because I want it to be a surprise for everyone, and in a house full of vampires and not being a witch this was the closest I could get to a silencing spell, and I wanted to surprise you too of course and there will be something that will be a surprise to you all (Nothing bad I promise.)  but this part it couldn't be done without the help of one of you, and I deemed you to be the better at keeping secrets.

I slid it over to him and watched as his brow unfurrowed and a bigger grin took over his lips. Then he took out his own pen and wrote something down before sliding the paper back to me:

Ah Clever girl, Honored you came to me to help, so what do you have in mind?

I glanced back up at him and grinned and nodded before writing an explanation:

So given this is my first thanksgiving with the family being Klaus' Girlfriend, I wanted it to be as special and perfect as I could get it. The other night around the fire, I asked a few questions about past holidays, that was my fishing expedition to start the ball rolling, honestly thanking the heavens above none of you caught on. I would like to find and use the center piece and silverware Klaus talked about fondly, the ones he said he wished I could've seen, that he knew were still around here somewhere he just had no idea where to even begin looking for them, the ones from the 20's, also the Napkins that Kol told us about that he liked how soft they were, And the dishes and glasses you reminisced about. For Rebekah I'm going to try to recreate that dish she said she's dreamed about to the best of my abilities. If it's not too much trouble. I'm coming to you because A. It's your family's things, most likely in your family's storage warehouse. And B. from the handful of times I've been to the warehouse with Klaus it would take me an entire week to find them myself. Please?

I took a breath and slid the paper back towards him, giving Elijah my best pleading look and waited anxiously for him to read it and respond with bated breath. I took the fact that he continued smiling and even shook his head softly giving an adoring chuckle as a good sign. Elijah finished reading, looked up at me with a massive smile and started to stand. I felt my face furrow as confusion washed over me quickly to be replaced with relief when he stood directly in front of me bent over and pressed a kiss to the top of my head and pulled me into a hug. I could feel a warm chuckle vibrate through his chest. I sat back down as he made his way back to his seat and wrote a reply on the paper:
