CHAPTER - 24

Jade's POV

"Are you sure Jade you didn't want stay here for a night?" Lauren ask me na mukhang nag aalala pa rin sa akin.

"Im alright Lau. You dont need to worry. Just like you may mga bagay din ako na kailangang harapin, mahirap man o madali" she just nodded at me.

Nandito kami ngayon sa guest room nila. Its already 5 in the afternoon when i decided to make a move and fixed things up.

"Okay Jade but if things gone wrong dont hesitate to run after me okay?" She held my hand and smile.

The best part of having Lauren in my life, she never let me feel alone for everything that ive gone thru.

"Of course Lau, come on! We got each others back remember?" We both giggle and hug each other.

Bumaba na kami ni Lauren mula sa guest room at para mag paalam na rin ako sa kanya. Nandito na kami sa may tapat gate nila ng may mapansin akong kakaiba.

"Lau, nasaan si Jhared o si Manang?" I asked her that made her stop.

"Red went out for a while, Manang leaves earlier sinundo siya ng kanyang mga anak. Her husband was rush in the hospital, mild stroke. She called me earlier and telling me that she's quiting the job and focus on her husband that basically needs her a lot." I see kaya pala ang tahimik ng bahay nila. Ibig sabihin Lauren will be alone kapag umalis agad ako.

"I think i should stay for a while to keep you accompany Lau. You're pregnant and shouldn't be alone by now." But as expected she shook her head

"Ayt. Come on Jade i will be fine. Maybe Red will be on his way by now." Hinila na niya ako sa may tapat ng kotse ko para umalis na.

"You should look for a new maid Lau." She just smile at me. I know that smile , she already has a plan.

"I already knew things here Jade believe it or not. I can cook, wash dishes, wash clothes, house hold chores and everything. Manang taught me like a pro. And im lucky to learn that fast." She seems to be far from Lauren that i use to know before. She's more responsible and a grown woman now.

"But Lau your pregnant and still taking care of little Lucas, how can you handle that?" She clear her throat as i rest my back to lean on my car.

"Im a superwoman Jade try me. HAHAHAHAHA." silly i would love to hit her head upon hearing her excuse.

"Dulot yan ng kakadikit ni Jhared sayo Lau. Malala kana rin katulad niya." She laugh harder this time and so am i too.

"Go on Jade. Its getting late baka matraffic ka pa. Just give me a call when you get home. Okay?" I am not too confident na iwan siya dito mag isa as i felt my phone na nagvivibrate.

It's Marco who's calling me.

"Are you sure Lau? You'll be just fine even if your alone here?" I cant leave her alone. Bakit ba kasi ang tagal ni Jhared?

"Yes Jade. Go on. Im here at my home abode so there's nothing to worry about." I just nod and went inside my car.

"Aalis na ako Lau, just call me if something came up okay? Pumasok kana sa loob at i lock mo ang gate at pinto." She wave at me and went inside her house.

I drive rush out para kausapin si Pier. Siya ang una kong dapat kausapin bago ang magulang ko.

I just park my car sa parking area ng condo niya at bumaba agad. I immediately press the button ng elevator para makarating agad sa unit niya bago kami magkasalisi. Siya kasi ang nag mamanage ng bar nila kaya sana maabutan ko siya.
