Salacia POV

I walked back to camp beside Thorin, still admiring the simple braid Thorin gave me. As we approached....I got several horrified looks. "W-what?" I asked. I heard Thorin sigh, "it's not what ye think. The lass didn't know how to braid." Thorin said, they all seemed to accept it and go back to their business....except two brothers. I ignored to for now and went to Gandalf who was sitting peacefully. I sat beside him and pulled out my pipe. "Hey Mr Gandalf!" Ori said. I looked at him. "Yes?" Gandalf replied.

Bilbo POV

I spaced out, not charging what Ori was asking. I watched Salacia as she smoked her pipe with her eyes closed. I suddenly watched her blow a large puff of smoke out before stretching. She glanced at me and nodded to me. She stood up and took off her hat and cloak. I watched her whisper something to Gandalf before waking behind a large bolder out of our sight. When she came back she had a white top around her chest and loose flowy pants that went down her to her toes. Her outfit exposed her stomach, not at flat and toned as I was expecting, more soft looking and very curvy. Her cloak seemed to have hidden her figure. She walked past us without saying a word. "Where's she going?" I asked. Gandalf looked at me then towards Salacia. "Something wrong?" Thorin asked. "She is going to replenish her energy." I said. "What?" Fili asked. "Well...Salacia is much much different than any of the other wizards, her abilities and a thousand times more different to control and she needs to be in a calmed state of mind and body in order to keep her powers under control. Salacia has many abilities and ways...that I do not even understand...that is all I will say." He said. "Okay...so....what is she really doing over there?" Kili asked. "She is meditating." He said. I looked over my shoulder in the direction she went. I took my chance as they where all distracted before I slipped away. I was undeniably interested in what she was doing. As I peaked over the rock I saw her sitting, perfect poster and her legs crossed. I saw each of her hands where laying softly on her knees Palm up...and in them I saw twisting elements. In her left hand I saw fire and wind thrashing and twisting together, in her right I saw water and earth flowing and curling in odd angles. I saw that her back was completely covered by her hair that she let down, it was now laying peacefully on the ground around her. I snuck around to try and see her front and saw her face was steady and still, her body had various lights going down it. Seven actually. I stared in wonder before I noticed a mint green colored bubble form around her. I was astonished, I had no idea what to say. I could see her lips moving, chanting something though I could not hear her. I saw her hair and skin begin to glow. I saw what looked like a lotus flower bloom from the center of her chest before it disappeared and she stood calmly. She whispered something and the mixed elements in her hands disappeared, replaced with a soft light. I watched as she began blooming beautiful flowers of light, softly pushing them to float around the large cavern we where in. One large one plugged the opening above and disappeared, resulting in the light of the moon to shine on Salacia. I snuck back and stumbled into camp. "What's wrong with ye laddie?" Balin asked. "S-Salacia she-" "what about her?" I heard Salacia cut me off. I jumped and turned. "O-oh!!! H-hello!" I squeaked. "Do you have a question?" She asked me. "W-well...what where you doing?" I asked. "Oh, I was meditating, collecting solar energy from the elements around me." She said. "Ahh...a-and how does that work?" I asked. She laughed, "I'm afraid you wouldn't understand, trying to explain it would only lead to confusion," she said looking to the others. I noticed her hair was all still handing down wildly and looked like think silk. I noticed her body had faint markings on it. She pulled on a sweater and sat by the fire. "Do you all need anything?" She asked. "Nope I don't think so, thank you dear." Balin said. She grinned and began looking at the fire. Suddenly Kili walked behind her and placed a blanket around her shoulders. At her gesture I saw Fili and Thorin glaring at him, though she never noticed. I sighed immediately realizing what was going on. I shook my head and layed down on my side, facing the family. I saw Salacia close her eyes and begin breathing softly and evenly. Suddenly we saw the fire beginning to flicker and we began to see butterflies form in the fire, flying around. "Whoa..." I heard various dwarves whisper. I rolled over and closed my eyes. I suddenly felt a warmth in front of me. I opened my eyes and saw a dim light in the form of a rose, it suddenly sparked forming into a real one. I caught it before it hit the ground and sniffed it, it smelled beautiful. I grinned and closed my eyes.

Salacia POV

After we all woke up the next morning and got back on the road we rode for hours and hours. I spent most of the time listening to the dwarves ramble on about various things. I noticed Bilbo glancing at me...then he would look away blushing...I decided to ignore it though it was adorable.

Later on Thorin had us stop by a old abandoned farmhouse, i dismounted and followed Gandalf up to the farmhouse. "We'll camp here for the night. Fili, Kili, look after the ponies. Make sure you stay with them." Thorin said. "A farmer and his family used to live here." Gandalf said. "Yes...it would appear so." I replied. "Oin! Gloin!" Thorin yelled. "Aye?" They replied. "Get a fire going." He said. "Right you are." Gloin said. "I think it would be wiser to move on. We could make for the Hidden Valley." Gandalf said walking to Thorin. "I have already told you, I will not go near that place." Thorin huffed. I looked at him, "why not? The elves could help us! We could get food, rest...possibly some much needed advice." I said, mumbling the last part. "I do not need their advice." He snapped. I cringed hoping he had missed that last part. "We have a map Lord Elrond could help us with?" Gandalf said. "Help? A dragon attacks Erebor, what help came from the Elves? Orcs plunder Moria, desecrate our sacred halls, the Elves looked on and did nothing. You ask me to seek out the very people who betrayed my grandfather and betrayed my father." Thorin said. "You are neither of them. I did not give you that map and key for you to hold on to the past." Gandalf said, I could tell he was starting to get annoyed. "I did not know they where yours to keep." Thorin asked. 'Damn it dwarf!!' I screamed knowing he just pissed off Gandalf. Suddenly Gandalf stormed past us off towards camp and through. "Everything alright?" Bilbo tired to ask. "Gandalf? Where are you going?" Bilbo asked. "To seek the company of the only one around here who's got any sense." He snapped. "Who is that?" Bilbo asked. "Myself Mr Baggins!!!" He yelled. "Salacia!!!" Gandalf yelled. I ran past Thorin. "Yes?" I asked catching up to him. "You are NOT to use your magic under any circumstances while I am away." He said. "Understood." I said. He huffed and stormed off. I sighed and walked back to camp. "Come on Bombur, we're hungry." Thorin said as I came back. "Is he coming back?" Bilbo asked Balin as I stood beside them. "Most likely, when that would be...should be the question." I said before I walked away.
