*next morning*

I opened my eyes quickly shooting up out of my bed. I sharply looked back at Oliver who was still sound asleep. I thought back to the time freezing spell I casted two days ago. So by now we would have one more day, then an extra day to get to the mountain before Durin's day. "....you could be of serious use...however not with your lack of knowledge." I said quietly. "Hey! Wake up." I said nudging him gently until his eyes peaked open. "Hm? Yeah?" He asked groggy as he sat up. "Come on. Get up we got work to do." I said quickly standing. "W-what? What work?" He asked sliding quickly out of bed. "Well, you need training. Not only in magic, but in battle as well. I have no idea if you are going to get attacked or pulled into a fight but if you do I want you to be prepared." I said sternly while walking to the bathroom. "Wait fighting?! Who will I be fighting?" He asked franticly. I could hear his little feet running to the door. I sighed and snapped my fingers, changing my outfit into something more suitable For fighting. "Am I going to get hurt?" I heard him ask. "Sweetheart if anyone harms a hair on your head," I said as I opened the door then summoned an axe into my hand. "Mama's gonna crack some heads." I said with a smirk as I twirled the axe and landed it into a holder strapped across my back. "Whoa..." I heard him whisper. I smiled and looked at my precious boy, then scowled at his dirty torn clothes. I walked back into the bathroom and grabbed my bag before reaching into it and pulling out some shirts I had before crumbling them up into a ball in my hands. I whispered a spell under my breath and unraveled them reviling nice new clothes for him that weren't tattered and dirty. They changed style and size to match him. I carried them back into the bedroom to see him patiently sitting on the edge of the bed, swinging his feet. "here, change into these. Your pants are fine." I said tossing them to him. All he did was nod and take off his previous clothing to put on his new ones. " I don't have shoes." I heard him mutter quietly. "We can buy some, come on." I said opening the door for him. I watched a smile spread on his face as he ran out the door smiling. I grinned and closed the door running after him.

We ran into the town straight towards the shoe shop, I mean...after asking twelve different people for directions we made it. "Alright you have to pick out functional fighting boots, alright?" I asked as he opened the door. He nodded happily, "Alright!!!" he squealed as he ran elsewhere in the store. I grinned and shook my head. "Hello!" I heard a woman's voice, I looked towards the checkout counter and saw an older woman with long white hair smiling at me. "Oh! Hello, how are you?" I asked politely. "Wonderful! Is that your little boy?" She asked. I laughed nervously, "oh no, he's not." I said. The woman gave me an odd look. "He's...not yours?" She asked looking over the counter at him."n-no I'm just taking care of him." I said. "He looks just like you." I frowned and scratched my head" I-I'm his guardian." I said before quickly shuffling away to him. "Find anything?" I asked kneeling down looking at the boots he was. "I like these ones." He said pulling a pair of black sturdy boots. "Perfect!" I said grabbing them and walking to the counter. " He'll take these." I said before trying to find my pouch of money. "Crap..." I whispered before I flinched as a small bag of money was set on the counter. I squeaked and turned around franticly running straight into Thorin. "What are you doing here?!" I asked backing up trying to play my panic off. "Well Dwalin and I were going to the armory, I saw you come in here and knew you didn't have money. I'll see you after." He said calmly kissing my forehead before leaving. "Oh so it's his son?" The woman asked. "No, if that were his son that boy would have a beard already now can I...he just buy these?" I asked as the woman huffed and took the money as Oliver pulled on his boots. I rushed him out of the store quickly after grabbing the pouch with whatever amount of money left in it. "We need to go to the armory and get Dwalin and Thorin." I said calmly. He nodded and trotted in front of me, his dark swishy hair bouncing as he did so. I grinned before pushing the shop door open. Needless to say I was somewhat impressed by lake towns weapons. "Hey!" I said as I saw Dwalin and Thorin looking at Axes. They turned and waved. "Go see them, I need to check on something." I said gently pushing Oliver's back before he ran to them. I reached into my pocket and pulled out a small timer I had set onto my time freezing spell. I looked and saw it had about five hours left. "Perfect timing. Once this ends, we will have twenty four hours before the sun sets on Durins day." I said tucking the timer back into my pocket.
