Bofur PoV
A stood beside my brother Bombur looking at the valley...well...I was. He was thinking of how to get meat. "Bofur! Bofur!" I heard the feminine voice of Salacia. "Ay lass! Where ya been?" I asked hugging her. "I need you to do me a favor." She said. "Aye?" I replied. "Can you let me sit between you and Dwalin at dinner??" she asked. "I heard Fili talking about he was hoping to sit next to ya." I said. "I heard Kili boasting about him sitting next to her." Bombur said. I saw her pinch the bridge of her nose. "Please, just do this for me?" She asked again before looking at me with the cutest puppy dog eyes I'd ever seen. I felt my heart skip a beat, "a-aye lass, sure. Do ya think they both like ya?" I asked. "Um...they....both kissed me." She said. "Uh...huh. Do ya like ether of them?" I asked. She covered her face. " I have absolutely no idea...." She said and scratched her cheek. "If ye where to pick one of them right now, who would you choose?" I asked grinning, wanting to tease her slightly. "Well I mean...I guess I'd pick Fi- THAT DOESNT MATTER!!!!" She snapped. I held my hands up and laughed. "I know I know, don't bite my head off for a little teasing." I said nudging her. She cracked a smile and shook her head, "damn dwarf" she laughed. I led us down a path adorned by flowers as we walked elsewhere, "ye know, can I be honest with you?" I asked. "Go for it." She said. "I was expecting a really uptight stick in the mud, but your actually a very funny, lively lass." I said grinning. She looked up at me, "oh mahal...your not gonna kiss me are you?" She asked wide eyed. I laughed loudly, "no! No! I didn't mean it like that. I meant it as I'm happy I've gotten the chance to become friends with you." I said. She smiled, "yeah, I'd happily be able to call you one of the ones I'm closer too." she said as we stopped and sat on one of the benches. "What do ye mean?" I asked. "Oh...well with the life I've lived I haven't really gotten the chance to really build any friendships with people, I've only made one friendship in my lifetime." She said. I signed and tossed an arm around her shoulders, "well, I think of ye as a very close friend, even my best friend if I dare say so myself. Are the feelings mutual?" I asked.
Salacia PoV
I smiled slightly at Bofurs words and leaned against him, "defiantly, no doubt." I said smiling. Bofur sighed happily. "Ye know what I'm looking forward too?" He asked. "Hm?" I asked. "I'm really looking forward to seeing Fili and Kili make a fuss over you." He said. I rolled my eyes and nudged his stomach, "not funny." I said. "Very funny." He said. I rolled my eyes, "at least make a promise to me?" I said, "aye?" He asked. "If they get to be too much that I can run and hide with you?" I asked. "Of course! As long as it's not Thorin chasin after ye...then I'll be running with you." He said. "W-wait what? Thorin too?!?!?!" I asked franticly. "I don't know, he has his eye on you quite a bit." Bofur said. "Um...okay." I said. "Salacia! Where are you?!!" I heard Kili yell, "Bofur??" I heard Dwalin follow. "Coming!" I said as we stood and ran back up the path. "Come on! It's time for dinner!" Kili said when I saw him. "Sit with me!" He said. "No, she'll be sitting with me." Fili said coming. "What? No! She's with me." Kili argued. "You wish she'd want to eat with you, with your manners no one would!" Fili snapped taking my hand and pulling. Kili took the other. "Mine!!!!!" They both yelled. I looked back at Bofur desperately. "Enough of that boys...don't pull the poor girls arms off!" Bofur tried to reason. "FILI! KILI! That's enough!!!" I heard Thorins voice boom. I was instantly let go. "She will sit with me, and that's final." He said. I looked at Bofur and he held his hands up. "O-okay..." I said.
I followed Thorin to the table where Lord Elrond and Gandalf where sitting. "Salacia, where have you been my dear?" Gandalf asked as I sat down. "Uh...nowhere really, wandering." I said. Thorin sat beside me, shooting me glances every now and then...he was still mad. I leaned over to him, "I'm sorry," I whispered. "What?" He asked bluntly, yet quiet. "For how I spoke to you earlier...you couldn't understand it but it wasn't very nice." I said. He raised an eyebrow and didn't respond. I rolled my eyes, "Ci *ben-ind(you are insane)" I whispered under my breath as food was served. I ignored Gandalf, Lord Elrond and Thorin speak...mainly because I was utterly board. I looked over my shoulder and saw the dwarves laughing and having a wonderful time throwing their food at eachOther. I sighed and placed my cheek in my hand, stabbing my food with a fork. "Board?" Thorin whispered. "Yup." I whispered back, "me too. My father used to make me sit in meetings with him." He whispered. I looked at him and smiled, "that sounds terrible, how did you survive!?" I laughed quietly. "Oh, I used to ether count the grey hairs in my fathers hair or I'd just say I needed to go to the bathroom and never come back." He said. I snickered, "hey that's a good idea, maybe I can count your grey hairs when your talking about boring stuff!" I joked and nudged him. He smiled and shook his head. "Maybe I could count yours!" He said. "What?!?!? I have grey hairs!!?!?!" I asked franticly. "Shhh!!!" Thorin laughed, "ye don't have greys! I was only jokin." He said. I glared and stuck my tongue out. "Salacia?" Lord Elrond said, seeing my gesture. I bowed my head, "Díheno nin...(forgive me...)" I said quietly. As he nodded and looked away Thorin smirked at me, "your evil." I snapped with a smirk.
