Salacia PoV

I walked back into the tavern and smiled before running towards Oliver, scooping him out of Kili's grasp. "You can stay!!!!" I said happily hugging the boy. "W-what?? Really?!" He asked astonished. "Mhm~!" I said kissing his head. "Now, a bar is no place for a child, let's go find somewhere we can get you something to eat." I said as I walked towards the door with him in my grasp. As I neared the door Thorin came through. My heart somewhat froze at the hateful look he gave Oliver. "Don't worry, you won't have to look at him. I'm taking him to get food." I said flatly and passed him. He didn't utter a word as I passed. 'Stubborn bastard.' I thought.

I walked for a while before I found a small bakery at the other end of the town. "Excuse me...?" I asked as I entered. "Oh! Hello!" I said a man behind the counter of the shop. He was undoubtfully handsome. His eyes where honey brown with dark brown hair that went down to his jawline with a stubble beard. "H-hi~" I said at a loss for words. "How may I help a beautiful lady as yourself?" He asked flashing a charming smile. "O-oh...well...this may be an stretch of a request." I mumbled. "What is it?" He asked. "Well, he hasn't eaten in a while, and I don't have any money. I don't need any food I was just wondering if you would be willing to spare anything?" I asked. He grinned and leaned on the counter. "What's his name?" He asked. "Oliver." I said. "Well Oliver, what do you want to eat?" He asked. I smiled slightly. "D-do you have blueberry muffins?" Oliver asked shyly. "I sure do! Hold on." He said as he walked back into a different room. "What a nice man," I said happily looking at Oliver. He nodded in agreement. "Here you go," the man came back and handed Oliver a warm Blue berry muffin. "Thank you so much!" I said. "And for the lady, a banana nut muffin. I'm sorry I'm out of Blueberry." He said. "O-oh my you didn't have to give me anything." I said taking the muffin. "Why wouldn't I help a woman so eager to care for her child?" He asked. "Oh, well...I suppose." I said. "What your name?" Oliver suddenly asked. "My name is Sam," the man laughed. "Thank you Sam." Oliver said muffled by the muffin in his mouth. I giggled and nodded to the man, "thank you Sam." I said. "Wait! I never got your name." He said. "Oh, Salacia." I said. "Beautiful..." He whispered. I grinned and nodded to him for a moment. "Well...thank you very much." I said. "Please, come by tomorrow morning." He said. "...alright, will do! Till then," I said walking towards the door before exiting. I looked at Oliver and laughed seeing him dominate the massive muffin. "Hah, you little cutie~" I giggled. I made my way back to the tavern and ate my muffin on the way. As I entered I noticed my vision was going slightly blurry. I placed a hand on my forehead. "Are you okay?" I heard Oliver ask as his hand grasped my shirt in concern. I laughed lightly, "y-yes...maybe..." I said faintly. Suddenly he grabbed the sides of my head and pulled my head down, kissing my forehead. I suddenly felt a burst of what felt like healing magic as my vision healed temporarily. He was trying to heal what ever ailed me. However, his sweet gesture was slightly weekender by his age. He wasn't as strong as I was when I was his age. "Oh Oliver, your so sweet." I said kissing his head. "Here," I said walking towards Kili. "Kili!" I said. I instantly say Thorin turn his head and glare at Oliver. "Can you don't him, I need to um, fix something." I said. Kili smiled and took Oliver. I glanced at Thorin. "Don't let Thorin touch him." I said darkly before turning and making my way back to the inn so I could make a healing potion.

I watched Salacia leave the tavern and my vision turned to the boy. Who the hell did he think he was taking all of Salacia's attention away from me, and making her defend him to let him join my company. There was obviously no way he could help us. I watched as he laughed at what Kili and Bofur where telling him, having the time of his life. I huffed and turned away ordering another ale. Though behind me I could hear the boy laughing and smiling. "Where did Salacia go?" I heard him ask. "She went back to the inn to probable do something witchy." Kili said. "Aye, she needs to be alone when doing her magic." Bofur said. "Don't worry, I'm sure she will be rushing back for you soon." Fili spoke up as he joined them. I growled under my breath, "Thorin, I know ye don't like kids but why are you being so hateful towards Oliver? He's a nice boy." Dealing suddenly said. "It doesn't matter, he shouldn't be here!" I snapped. "Excuse me?" I froze hearing Oliver's voice behind me, and felt someone tug at the bottom of my shirt. I turned and looked down at him. "What." I said. "I'm sorry..." He said. "What? Why?" I asked. "I don't really know...but you don't seem to be very happy with me." He said looking down on fear. I rolled my eyes and turned away from him, "go away." I said. I looked back and saw him walking sadly back to Kili and Bofur. I scoffed and turned back. "Thorin, you don't need to be so hateful towards the boy. Salacia seems to really care about him." Balin suddenly said. "I don't care if she liked him or not I don't want him here!" I growled. Balin sighed and shook his head, "pull yer head out of yer ass Thorin." Dwalin grumbled as he stood and walked towards Kili. 'That fuckin brat is taking my whole company from me!' I screamed in my head. My head flung to the side as the tavern door flew open. "Has anyone seen my son?! Or a brown haired short girl with a small boy!?" A woman yelled as she ran in. "I looked back at Oliver before I stood and tried to grab him out of Kili's grasp. "Thorin no!" Kili argued. "The boy is hers. Salacia wouldn't have even kept him from his mother." I said as I took the boy. Kili looked at me for a moment before realizing that I was right. She wouldn't. "Ma'am? Is this him?" I asked carrying him towards her. "Oh my sweet Chase!!!" she gushed. Suddenly Oliver began struggling and fighting to get away from me and the woman. "N-no!" He yelled. "Chase! It's time to come home." She said as she took the thrashing boy. "You better take care of him." I said threateningly. "Oh of course" she said. As they walked towards the tavern door Oliver yelled. "S-Salacia!!!!! No!!!!!" He cried. I felt my heart pain slightly only to disappear quickly. "There, now that issue is done with." I said turning back. I turned to see shocked and saddened expressions among my company. "What?" I asked. "The lass will be heartbroken..." Nori said. "Aye, even in the short amount of time ye could tell she loved the boy." Balin said. "I wonder how she'll take it." Dwalin said. "Hey!!" We suddenly heard Salacia's cheery voice. I turned and looked at her, she had a happy smile on her beautiful face, and her bright green eyes shined like the stars. She walked to us then looked around, "Where's Oliver?" She asked puzzled. "Well...lass..." Balin began. Her face turned serious. "His mother came back for him...we thought it was only right to return him." I said stiffly. "Haha your joking! Where is he?" She laughed. We all stayed silent and looked at her. I saw her eyes turn to fear and her bottom lip tremble. "p-please t-tell me your joking!!!" She begged as her eyes flooded with tears, two escaping down her red cheeks. "I'm sorry Salacia..." I said. She said nothing but covered her mouth with shaky hands and collapse to her knees in violent tears. She ducked her head in, as she did so...we all saw her hair turn black. "Nononono!" She sobbed. I looked at my beloved and questioned my actions. If her where here...she would be smiling and laughing, not crumbling into a dark heartbroken depression. "S-Salacia please don't cry!" Kili suddenly asked as he kneeled down beside her rubbing her back. "They'll kill him!!!!" She screamed as she stood back up quickly. "YOU SON OF A BITCH YOU SENT HIM TO HIS DEATH!!!" She screamed pointing at me. I backed away slightly, "you don't know that!" I said back calmly. "You think I don't know what my own race requires?! He is starved, beaten and neglected there! His powers will crumble into nothing along with him or they will turn dark and consume him without someone to care for him!" She spat, her tone dripping venom. "What do you mean?" I asked. "You may have just sent a boy off to be created into a monster and doomed us all OVER YOUR PETTY JEALOUSLY!" She screamed as she turned away. "Where are you going?" I yelled. "TO GET HIM BACK YOU FUCK FACE!" She screamed. She was obviously intensely distraught and blinded by her broken heart. "I'll help you get him back!" Kili said. "Aye! We will too!" Fili and Bofur said. "Alright. Come on." She said as she flew out the door.
