Salacia POV
I continued to search through my book while the dwarves where all gathered around the fire. I was reading so intensely...that I almost didn't hear the dwarves...congratulating me?? I looked up confused, "what? What I do?" I asked confused making them laugh. "On you and Fili of course!!" Ori said happily. I blushed and grinned. "Heh, yeah~". I said happily, bashfully looking back to my book.
As the night drew on the dwarves began to all go to sleep, Thorin had put Fili on watch...and told me to go to sleep six times, being ignored all six. I said cross legged, my elbow on my knee propping up my cheek as I tiredly flipped through the many pages of my book. I noticed Fili walking around me and heard him sit down. I paid no mind to it until two strong arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me back to sit between his legs. I smiled and leaned back against him while he was against the smooth stone behind us. "I had no idea you read so much. You've been looking at the book for four hours now." He said. "I'm...I'm trying to find help Bilbo out." I said. "With what?" He asked. "Well...okay you need to keep this a secret alright?" I asked. He nodded. I leaned up to whisper in his ear. "Bilbo has feelings for Thorin and wants to know how Thorin feels about him. So I'm trying to find a spell that can give me the ability to figure that out." I said before going back to my book. "Bilbo likes Thorin?" Fili whispered. I nodded and grinned, "that...is absolutely adorable." He said. I giggled and nodded. "I know!!!!!" He chucked and nuzzled his forehead into my neck. "My love you can go sleep, I'll be up for a good while." I said reaching up and petting his hair. "Are you sure?" He asked. I nodded and kissed his temple, "go rest," I said. "Alright, Wake nori when your shift is done." He said before standing up and laying down on his bed roll beside me, his back to me against the fire. I glanced at him and grinned before yawning and flipping the pages, turning to the section where hexes where. I scowled and skipped that chapter. The thought of putting a hex on someone disturbed me. I reached beside me for my water and tried to drink, only to find my bottle was empty. "Ugh." I grumbled as I stood. I nudged Fili knowing he wasn't asleep yet, "hm?" He asked. "Hey wake up for a few minutes I need to go fill up my water." I said. "Kay," he said yawning and sitting up. I walked out of camp down to a near by stream. I kneeled down and allowed the water to flow into my bottle. Once full I pulled a small white stone out of my pocket and dropped it in the water, allowing it to purify. I shook the bottle watching the stone spin around. I turned to walk back and something caught my eye. I saw a red marking on a tree, in what looked like the shape of an eye. "Huh...I...I feel as though I've seen that before." I muttered running my fingertips across it. I shrugged and began on my way again, only for my limbs to lock up and my muscles tense. "Salacia..." I heard someone whisper. I cringed and turned looking around me...not seeing anyone. "Wh-who's there..." I asked quietly feeling my muscles relax. "Come to me..." I heard a rusty voice whisper in my ear. I dropped my bottle feeling my hand beginning to burn like it had in Rivendell. I hissed in pain as I pulled the bandages off my hand, seeing my skin smoking. I hissed in pain. "Come to me..." It whispered again. I growled "N-no! Go away!" I said covering my ears. "Bring your strength...give me control..." It said louder, and harsher. "No!! N-no!!!!" I cried out in pain. I felt as though someone was crushing my heart in their fist. I collapsed to my knees holding my shoulder with opposite hands. I felt my body hit the ground and my vision turning spotty, a numbness in my body began to emerge. Through the darkness that enclosed my sight I heard whispers I could not understand, but they struck feel through my entire body, and darkened my energy.
Fili POV
I sat staring at the fire quietly waiting for Salacia to return. I flinched hearing someone coming towards the camp. I lunged for my sword and turned only to see Gandalf looking at me. "Fili what on earth is the matter?" He asked. "Oh..I...thought you where something else." I said setting my sword aside. I saw him look around camp. "Where is Salacia?" He asked. Before I could answer I heard a cry of pain. "Salacia?" I whispered before Gandalf went running in the direction of the cry. I followed him quickly, sword in hand.
