Chapter 14

Jason's POV

"Ok, I'll do it" she replies. I feel like my heart was ripped out of my chest and stomped on.

"No, we can figure something else out" I say pulling her close. Don't get me wrong I want my kids back home and safe for then anything in the world but if it means losing my wife, I don't know.

"No Jason, I have to do this. Ok everything will be alright. Just take the kids home and make sure they remember me" she says pulling me into a hug. I shake my head no and squeeze he tight.

"I won't. I can't" I say about to break down but I know I can't. She pulls away and kisses me hard and long. She gets out of my grip and walks over to the goon that is holding the kids.

"At least let me say goodbye" Kelli says looking at him. He looks over at the old man, who nods his head. The goon hands Melanie over first, Kelli kisses her and starts to talk to her. I can't believe this is happening right now, I feel like I can't breath. After a couple minutes Kelli is done with Melanie, Sophia and Adrian. The goon walks over and hands me the two car seats with the twins in them and Melanie who hangs onto my leg.

"Ok, thank you McCann for doing business" the old man says with a rotten smile. It takes everything I have in me to not cuss him out and shoot him right now. But I know that will only hurt the kids and make it worse for Kelli. I look over at Kelli and she has tears in her eyes, she looks right at me and gives me a small smile.

"I love you" she says blinking away the tears. I clear my throat, gaining to ability to talk.

"I love you too" I say. I know if I say anything longer it will just get worse so I walk out the door. Melanie was still wrapped around my leg and I had the car seats in each hand so it was a little hard but i managed. Once I made it to my car i buckle all of the kids in then get in myself. I sigh and lay my head against the steering wheel. After i minute I know I have to leave but i just can't bare leaving Kelli, am I doing the right thing? All I know is that I have it get her out of there, fast.

I pull into my drive way, I look over at the gang house as everyone started to come out. I sent them home when I got in the car that the wear house. They all run up to the car happily, taking the kids out of the car, saying how much they missed them.

"Where's Kelli?" Kate says after a while. Kate, this is all her fault. I turn to her and walk up to her, my blood beginning to boil.

"You, this is all your fault! If you didn't have to come along she would still be here! I wouldn't have lose a member and my kids wouldn't had to go through that" I say right in her face. She is in shock and begins to back up until she hit the side of the house.

"I swear if anything happens to her I don't care if you are her best friend I will kill you. Understand?" I ask her. She nods her head a million times before I step away.

"Now, go over to the house, get ready and go do your job. I don't want to look at you anymore. Maegan you go with her" I say turning around facing Maegan, she nods and hands Adrian over to Justin. I sigh and walk into my house.

"So what happened?" Justin asks as everyone comes in. I sit in my chair and run my hands through my purple hair, god I miss her already. If through I was a little mad that her did this to my hair, I love her because she was just trying to be cute.

"Well, we got there and there was this old man who i guess is Letterman. Alway, we gave them the money but he said that wasn't good enough. He said that since he waited so long he should get something. He said he wanted Kelli" I stop trying to not break down.

"And she agreed. She agreed so the kids would get home safe. But the worse part was that she said to make sure they remember her, like she is never coming back" I say whipping a tear that fell. Melanie runs over and climbs on my lap, wrapping her small arms around my body as much as she can.

"It otay dada, you tan get mama out tro the woods" she says. At times like this I wish I understood her.

"What woods sweetie?" I ask her pulling her up so she was eye level with me.

"Da hole in the woods. We went in da ground,den we came up in da house" she says in a 'DUH' tone. She definitely has Kelli's attitude.

"Wait, does her mean like an underground tunnel?" Alfredo asks while feeding Sophia a bottle. It's impossible, Melanie is only two how can she know what a underground tunnel?

"Yea! Like da ones we have dada!" Mel says jumping up and down on my lap. She is taking about the bunker we have under the house with tunnels to a getaway airport, for emergencies only.

"Melanie if we take you to the house can you show us where it is?" Chandler asks her.

"How the hell is she supposed to remember where it's at?" I angrily ask him.

"Park dada!" Melanie yells, I run my hands through my hair and groan.

"Melanie we can't go to the park right now" I say trying into to snap at her.

"No dada. Unnel in park" she says making a small movement with her hands.

"Wait the tunnels are near the park?" I ask her to make sure that j understand her. Nods and hops off my lap and runs over to Adrian because he starts crying.

"Well we will map out the park tomorrow and try to find the way in. Maybe Mel can help us then once we find it or come up with a plan then we will save Kelli" Justin says. Everyone nods at the plan, I don't want to wait for tomorrow or the next day. I want her here with me now.

"Alright, well thanks guys. We will have to make a plan tomorrow" i say rubbing my face. They nod and leave after a couple of minutes, leaving me all alone with me babies.

"Ok guys, bath time" I say standing up. Melanie screams with joy and runs up the stairs, pulling off clothes as she goes. I pick up the two car seats and carry them up stairs.

After bathing Melanie first then the twins, which took forever because Melanie wanted to help. I have all three in my room, I brought the cribs into my room and put them beside my chair and Mel was laying in my bed. I didn't want to take a chance of someone getting close to them again.

"Goodnight Princess" I say kissing Sophia's head, she wiggles then let's out a yawn, she scrunched her nose up just like Kelli when she yawns.

"Goodnight my King" I say walking over and kissing Adrian on the head. He was already fast asleep. I turn and crawl into bed, I look to see Melanie sitting there with her arms crossed and a pout on her face.

"What's the matter baby girl?" I ask her while pulling her onto my lap. She gives me a mean look then answers.

"You talled Sopeeia pincess, im da pincess dada" she says almost in tears, my heart falls and I pull her close to my chest.

"You are my princess baby girl. You were my first princess and always will be, but you have to know that daddy has to call Sophia a princess too because she is one" I say trying to explain it all to her. She sighs and looks up at me.

"Oh dada i dot it!" She says jumping up, I laugh, getting ready for her crazy ideas.

"You tall me pincess Mel and tall her pincess Sopeeia, dat way we both pincesses!" She says with a big smile. I think about it and thats not a bad idea.

"Ok I will. Now let's go to sleep Princess Mel" I say kissing her forehead. She giggles and cuddles down into the covers and into my chest. It takes me a while to fall asleep because I'm thinking of a million different things. With one more look around the room, making sure all the kids are safe and breathing I finally close my eyes and go to sleep.

Ok guys so I'm thinking about writing another story. Should I?
The only problem is that I don't have any good ideas. All j know is that it will be another Jason McCann story.
Don't worry this one won't end for a while but it will be the last book of the Deadly Love books.
If you have any good ideas just let me know :)
