Chapter 37

Kelli's POV

I look at Taylor then I look down at my feet. I already know my answer and Jason's answer without even asking him.

We both want out of this life, I know that it's practically impossible but we will and are going to try to do it. I'm looking out for my kids and family, I don't want anything to happen to them.

I look up at Taylor and at his gang all standing around him. He lifts his right eyebrow, waiting for me to answer the question.

"No." I simply say. His smirk falls from his face and he steps a step closer.

"No? What do you mean no?! We helped you get your ungrateful dumbass husband out of the prison and you say no!?" He voice gets louder with every word. His face gets blood red and I can almost see the steam coming out of his ears.

"No the deal was that you guys help me get Jason out and we help you get your guy out. You said if we wanted to join forces we can but I chose not to" I tell him stepping closer only to have Jason hold me back.

I look up at him to see a confused look on his face but he then looks up at Taylor. I know I will have to explain everything to him later.

"Ok but what about your money?" Taylor asks. I look away and then back up at him. I know he is right, I'm all out of money. All of it. Between running from Jason, all the gas and hotel fees. Paying for this house, the car and other things I'm broke.

"I will find something" I tell him. His face gets red and he was about to say something but Jason spoke up.

"Look I don't know what is going on here but we are not interested. But that doesn't mean we all can't be civil. By the sound of it you want us to gang up with you but we don't want that. But if you need help or anything we are here" Jason says. I look up at him then back to Taylor's gang to see them all nodding their heads.

"Fine, but you push us the wrong way and we will kill all of you and your families" Taylor says. I know that his is the 'hard gang Taylor' speaking. Because any other time he is sweet and caring.

"That goes for you also" I say. He nods and I look around at his gang before turning around and walking out. I hear Jason's foot steps follow behind me.

"You have a lot of explaining to do" Jason says once we get to the house.

"In the morning" I say before laying down on the bed. Jason climbs in next to me and pulls me close. I miss being in his arms.

Just a filler j will try to update again tonight. I don't want to continue on with his chapter because I'm doing a time jump.
