Spies (Part 10)

Continuation of my Jarbyn one shot "Spies". Read it 😃.

Nobody's POV:-
"Okay", Corbyn said confused."Where are you?"

"A couple miles from the warehouse. I'm not exactly sure how much but I found Olivia and she's okay. She's with me right now".

"Oh Thank God", Corbyn breathed out."Listen baby. Just stay where you are and keep me on the phone. I'm coming to get you with someone".

"Okay", Jack said as Corbyn rushed out of the room and straight to the sheriff and pulled him aside.

"Mr.Barnes. I know where Olivia is", Corbyn whispered out."She's with Jack and she's safe. But Jack can't get out on his own. He says he needs back up. He's on the phone with me right now".

"That's great", the sheriff said smiling.

"The thing is sheriff, There's too many people there and he's pretty sure they'll soon figure out Olivia's missing and will start searching for her...", Corbyn started, expression turning serious.

"And you want my men to go with you?", the sheriff asked cutting him off.

"Just one", Corbyn said nodding."We don't want to cause suspicion. If a bunch of us go they'll immediately know we're not part of their group".

"Very well. Then I'll send Officer Richard with you. Is that okay?", the sheriff asked.

"It's perfect", Corbyn said smiling.

"I'll keep everyone here busy so the spy doesn't figure out that you know Olivia's location", the sheriff whispered.

Corbyn nodded as Officer Richard approached them both and looked at the sheriff.

"Everything okay?", he asked.

"All good. Actually fantastic", the sheriff said."Corbyn here found out where Olivia is".

"That's great", Richard said smiling."Where is she?".

"I'll tell you on the way. Right now we don't have time. We need to get there quickly", Corbyn said as he pointed at the front door.

"Wait", Richard said."We can't go from here. It'll only alert the spy if he sees us leaving. Let's go through the sheriff's office".

Corbyn looked at him confused.

"Don't worry. There's a secret passageway from where we can go", Richard said smiling.

"Okay. Go then you two. Ilk handle things here", the sheriff said.

The two men nodded and headed to the sheriff's office. As soon as they arrived Richard headed to the right side and pressed a few spaces in the wall. A minute later, the wall slid back revealing a passageway. The two entered and started walking.

"Okay. It's going to take us about five more minutes to get to the other end. And be careful. There's a lot of slippery obstacles in the way", Richard said.

"Got it", Corbyn answered and he turned on the torch of his phone.

"No. Put that way. The light goes right through this passageway and it's easy to see it from where everyone is", Richard said grabbing Corbyn's phone and turning off the torch."We'll use mine. It's less likely to get noticed".

Corbyn nodded as Richard took out his own torch that gave enough light but not as much as to go through the passageway and alert the spy.
They silently made their way to the other end with Corbyn occasionally telling Jack they were on their way.

"Follow me. My car's just around the corner", Richard said.

Corbyn nodded and followed him to his car. They both got in and Richard turned to Corbyn.

"So, where did you say Olivia was?", Richard said starting the car.

"I didn't", Corbyn said looking at the screen in the car that lit up as soon as it started."What's that?".

"Huh?", Richard asked looking at the screen."I have no idea".

And suddenly whatever was on the screen immediately disappeared. The two men looked at each other confused before Richard cleared his throat.

"So, the location?", he asked.

"Oh right", Corbyn said as he put the phone on speaker."Jack baby. Do you have any idea where you are?".

"No", Jack answered."But I think I can let you know the whereabouts. Hold on".

"Okay", Corbyn answered.

"Okay. There's a banner on the front. It says Tony's workshop", Jack answered a minute later."Do you know it?".

"Yes. I think I've heard it. The sheriff took me there but I don't quite remember the way. You have a GPS?", Richard said as Corbyn turned to him.

"Yeah", Corbyn said as he opened the GPS on his phone and gave it to Richard.

"Okay. Let's go", Richard said after a minute and started the car.

They drove off and arrived at the place. The two of them got out and headed to the entrance of the workshop Jack told them about to ask the owner some questions.

Corbyn entered followed by Richard but the officer didn't enter and Corbyn realized his mistake as soon as the door clicked behind him. He was in trouble.
