Online Dating (Part 4)

~Continuation of my Jarbyn one shot "Online Dating".

Nobody's POV:-
Corbyn lead Jack to a table and they both sat down.

"So, you wanna order or talk first", Corbyn spoke and Jack's breath stopped in his throat. Corbyn's voice was pure heaven.

"Umm. Let's talk little first", Jack said clearing his throat, silently admitting that he wanted to hear more of that angelic voice.

"Alright", Corbyn said smiling."Now tell me about yourself".

"Well I'm 34 years old and...",Jack started but Corbyn stopped him.

"No no. I already know that", Corbyn said."I meant about your family".

"Oh. Okay, well I have three sisters and both my parents are alive and well. In fact my daughter goes and visits them every weekend and...", Jack started but Corbyn stopped him again.

"Woah! Daughter?", Corbyn said looking confused.

"Uh yeah. I thought I told you that", Jack said.

"No. You never mentioned a daughter", Corbyn replied.

"Oh", Jack said and immediately made a mental note to ask Sydney why she had left the most important detail out."Usually whenever I go on dates that's the first I tell everyone. You know, since my daughter is my first priority".

"I get that", Corbyn said smiling.

"So, you had a wife, girlfriend or was it just a one night stand?", Corbyn asked.

Jack swallowed. This was the hardest part to tell everyone.

"Wife", he managed to whisper.

"OH. Sorry. I didn't...know", Corbyn said and immediately began looking sheepish.

"It's fine. I should've told you before", Jack said.

"I don't think so", Corbyn said softly."You never should have had to tell me unless you wanted to. I'm sorry I asked".

"It's okay", Jack said smiling, his heart warming up.

He knew he had immediately liked Corbyn as soon as he saw him half an hour ago but after talking with him he could now say that he had completely fallen for him.

"Shall we order?", Corbyn said.

"Yeah. Let's do that, Jack said nodding and Corbyn immediately called a waiter over.

"Jack?", the waiter said as he arrived."What are you doing here? And is that a date I see".

"Hey Gary", Jack said smiling."Yeah. It is".

Jack turned to Corbyn smiling, who smiled back, resting his hand on Jack's.

"That's great", Gary said grinning."Okay. Ready to order?".

"Yeah", Corbyn said nodding.

He picked up the menu and looked up at Jack.

"What will you have, love?", he asked Jack, who blushed slightly at the nickname.

"Umm. I'll have what I have usually. The steak with a side of fried and a pink soda", Jack answered.

"Okay", Corbyn said then turned to the waiter"And I'll have the burger with two beef patties and a topping of cheese, onions and tomatoes with a side of fries and coke".

"Got ya", Gary said."Your order will be with you in fifteen minutes".

"Thank you", Corbyn said smiling.

They both sat in silence as they waited for their food and ate in silence as it came.

"So, how was today?", Corbyn asked as he finished, wiping his mouth with a napkin.

"Amazing", Jack answered.

"So does this mean I have a chance?", Corbyn asked.

"Look Corbyn. I'm going to be honest with you", Jack said turning serious."It's been a while since I've gone on a date and I can't give all my attention to you everyday, so don't ask me to do that. My daughter always comes first. Otherwise you're a very nice guy and I'd like to give this a shot but that doesn't mean that we're in a relationship yet. I'll tell you the answer to that after we've gone on our third or fourth date".

"That means u have a chance?", Corbyn asked and Jack nodded smiling.

"Yes! Thank you Thank you", Corbyn said, getting up and hugging Jack as he spun him around.

"Okay. I have to go now. My daughter's probably waiting", Jack said.

"Okay. Tell her I said hi", Corbyn said."What's her name?".

"Olivia", Jack said as he exited the restaurant.

Corbyn watched him leave with a smile on his face. He had completely fallen as well.
