Online Dating (Part 3)

Continuation of my Jarbyn one shot "Online Dating".

Nobody's POV:-
"I don't understand the point of this", Jack said as he was forced into a coat by Sydney.

"Just shush and do what I tell you", Sydney said as she got the coat around Jack's shoulders.

"Fine", Jack said sighing.

It was Saturday evening and Sydney was getting Jack ready. She had just told Jack that someone was going to come visit him, nothing about the date.

They got in the car after getting Jack ready and picked up Olivia from her grandparent's house and they drove off to the place where they were meeting Corbyn. They had given the address of Jack's favourite coffee shop.

Sydney looked at Jack as they arrived. She was suddenly nervous. It was time to tell Jack the full story. She still had an hour to tell him but she thought it best to tell him now.

"Okay Jack. Listen. Please don't get mad but...", she started then looked away.

"OliviaandIgotyouadateandyou'remeetinghimhere", she said hurriedly.

"Huh?", Jack asked confused.

Sydney took a deep breath and said it again, this time a little slowly.

"Olivia and I got you a date and you're meeting him here", she said.

Jack's face turned from confusion to realization.

"Oh", he said.

"So?", Sydney asked hopeful."You're not mad"

Jack sighed and looked away.

"Of course not. It's just...I don't know Syd. I don't know if I can", he mumbled.

"No one's telling you to date him. Just get to know him and see if he catches your interest", Sydney said."Besides he knows a lot about you and he likes you already".

"Alright", Jack said nodding."I'll do it".

"Great", Sydney said clapping her hands in glee.

Thry had to wait for another half hour before Corbyn arrived and Olivia was the one to spot him.

"There he is!", she said excitedly.

"Okay. Time to go, tiger", Sydney said grinning.

"Okay", Jack said taking a deep breath before opening the door but then he closed it again, turning to Sydney who was confused.

"Anything I should know about him before I go?", he asked.

"Just that he likes coffee, his favorite colour's purple, favorite band is" The Beatles", huge baseball fan and is a great singer".

"Thanks", Jack said.

"Yeah okay. Go now", Sydney said giving him a light push.

"Okay I'm going", he said then slowly opened the car door again, getting out.

He started walking to the entrance of the coffee shop and Corbyn turned around smiling at him. He took his hand as he reached him and gave it a gentle kiss.

Jack turned to Sydney as he was about to enter the coffee shop and she gave him a thumbs up before he disappeared inside.

She turned around, smiling at Olivia and they both squealed. Things were going pretty great so far.
