Mine, Forever and Always

In which Corbyn proposes to Jack. Just that. Read on.

Nobody's POV:-
Corbyn was sitting on the desk in his office lost in thought. Today was the day he was going to propose to the love of his life. It was only a few hours before he was going to propose to Jack and he was nervous as hell. He had made his best friends Daniel and Zach help him set up all the stuff. Jonah was responsible for bringing Jack to the place.
It was a nice and cosy picnic spot right beside the lake where the five boys used to come often. It was their special place.
Corbyn had chosen the area because he knew Jack loved the cool breeze of the lake surrounding them. Its always helped him relax after a long day of work.
It was also his birthday so Corbyn had something special planned. The boys were going to drive off to the place where they had set up the picnic and Corbyn would propose there. He had all the lights and fireworks set up for the special occasion. Then afterwards they would go to their favorite restaurant to celebrate Jack's birthday.
Just then the door to his office burst open and Daniel came in, startling him out of his thoughts. He glanced at the clock on the mantle piece in his office. 8:30 pm. Almost two hours. Then he looked at Daniel. "What is it Dani?", he asked.
"Well. Jonah just texted. Jack just got out of the office", Daniel said.
"Okay", Corbyn said sighing."Tell him to keep him occupied until everything is ready".
"Great", Daniel said smiling."Anything else you want me to do?".
"No Dani", Corbyn said."Just be there. I need my best friend with me when I propose. You will be there right?".
"Of Course", Daniel said smiling."Wouldn't miss it for the world".
"Thanks Dani", he said smiling back.
"Anytime Dude", Daniel said."Now I gotta get home before Zach kills me. He's been looking after Alisha for the past two hours".
Corbyn laughed,"Okay Dude. Give my love to Alisha and Zach".
"Will do", Daniel said as he walked out the door.
Corbyn smiled as he got back to work. He still had a bit of it lined up. He is typed away on his laptop glancing at the clock from time to time.
He closed his laptop once it was 10 and got up from his desk, grabbing his bag and headed out of the door. He said goodbye to the few people that were still working in the building and got in the elevator. He made his way towards his car once the elevator opened and he had gotten out.
Once he got inside, he texted both Daniel and Zach letting them know that he was on his way.
He started the car and drove off to the lake side silently shutting his head lights once he pulled up at the place. He got out and made his way towards the lake.
Everything was perfectly set up. There were flowers on the floor decorated in a heart shaped manner which lead straight to the picnic place.
He saw Zach and Daniel in the distance talking to each other. He walked towards them.
"Hey guys", Corbyn said smiling.
"Hey Dude", Both of them said smiling back at him.
"The place looks really nice", he said looking around and smiling."Thank you for everything you did guys. Means a lot".
"Of Course", Daniel said smiling as he wrapped an arm around Zach's waist."Anything for my best friend".
Zach nodded smiling at him as he leaned into Daniel's touch, Daniel kissing his cheek softly.
He smiled at them both. Just then he felt a buzzing sound in his pocket. He took out his phone and saw a text from Jonah. Him and Jack were on their way. He sighed as he ran a hand through his hair. He was feeling nervous again.
He felt a hand on his shoulder and he looked up to see Zach smiling at him.
"It'll be fine", he said."You need to stop worrying dude".
"But. What if he doesn't want to marry me", Corbyn said shakily.
"Dude", Daniel said coming up behind Zach and wrapping an arm around him."He LOVES you. And I know for a fact he wouldn't say no. I mean you've been together for 10 years now".
Zach nodded,"That's a LONG time. And trust me if he didn't want to marry you he would've broken up with you already".
"But", Corbyn said sighing"Is it too early to propose?".
"Dude", Daniel said laughing."You've been together for 10 years now. I think now is the best time to propose".
"Yes", Zach said agreeing" And don't you think it's time to take the next step now".
"Yeah. You guys are probably right", Corbyn said smiling"Thanks for everything guys. Really appreciate it".
"Anytime", the couple said in unison.
Corbyn smiled at them both. A few minutes later they all heard a car pull up.
"Okay. I guess that's our cue to leave", Daniel said pulling Zach towards their"See you later Dude. And Good Luck".
"Thanks man", Corbyn said smiling as he turned and made his way towards the car that had just pulled up. Jonah stepped out of the driver's seat and stood there. He approached the car. "Thanks Jo", he said smiling at Jonah"I'll take it from here".
Jonah smiled back at him" Anytime Corbs. Well I gotta go. Eben's waiting for me".
"Okay Dude", Corbyn said"You ARE coming to the party yeah?".
"Yep", Jonah said nodding"I'll be there".
"Good", he said going towards the passenger seat and opening the door.
He grabbed Jack's hand and pulled him out of the passenger seat.
"Hey baby", he said whispering in his ear.
"Hey Corbs", Jack said smiling. His eyes were covered by a blind fold so he couldn't see around.
Corbyn smiled at Jonah and said,"Thanks Dude. You should get going now".
"Yeah",said Jonah laughing"I should go".
Corbyn laughed too. Jonah got in the car as Corbyn lead Jack to the picnic area.
"Where are we going Corbs?", Jack asked quietly.
"Just follow my lead baby", Corbyn whispered in his ear"And you'll know soon enough".
Jack just nodded gripping Corbyn tightly and following his lead.
As soon as they arrived at the picnic spot Jack could feel the cool breeze hit his face and body and immediately recognized the place.
Corbyn took off his blindfold and his eyes took a minute to adjust to the dim lighting of the lights set up there. He looked and held his breath. For some reason the view looked more beautiful today.
"So", Jack said looking at Corbyn." What's the special occasion?"
Corbyn smiled at him as he held his hand and sat down.
"Just wanted to take my boyfriend to a date before his actual birthday", he said softly.
Jack smiled and pecked Corbyn's lips softly."I love you Corbs", he said.
"I love you too baby", Corbyn said smiling at him as he pulled him close.
"You want something to eat?".
"Yes", Jack said."Sorry. I'm just really hungry".
"It's fine love", Corbyn said"I get it".
He pulled out the food from underneath the blanket. They started eating it talking about how each other's day went and other stuff lime that. Once they were done, they just sat there looking at the view with Jack leaning his head on Corbyn's shoulder.
"Beautiful isn't it", Jack whispered softly.
"Not more beautiful than you", Corbyn said smiling as he kissed the younger's cheek.
The younger blonde blushed slightly.
"I love you", he said moving his head away and looking at the older blonde.
"I love you too baby", the taller said pecking his lips once more.
Jack got up and pulled Corbyn to his feet.
"Come on", he said"Let's go enjoy the view".
Corbyn laughed as he followed his boyfriend. He glanced at his watch. Two minutes till midnight. He was feeling nervous again. He looked back at the car where Zach and Daniel were waiting. He saw a signal of a thumbs up and decided it was now or never.
As soon as they approached the very front of the place, he got on his knee and took out the box as Jack realized that Corbyn wasn't behind him. But when he turned around his hands immediately covered his mouth and tears came into his eyes. Happy tears.
Corbyn sat there with his eyes full of love.
"Jack Robert Avery", he said softly as a sob escaped Jack's mouth, him smiling in the process."In the last fifteen years that I've known you and the ten years that we've been together. You have changed my life so much. You've made me happy. You've helped me through thick and thin. Always ready to listen to my problems even if it meant staying up till late hours cuddling with me to make me relax. You bring the best in me baby. Being by my side you turn this typical bad boy into a softie. Your Amazing personality intrigues me everytime. Your soul is too pure. I love you with all my heart Jack Robert Avery. And I would love to call you Mine, forever and always. So. Will you marry me?".
"Yes", Jack nodded as he let go of the breath he didn't even know he had been holding in, smiling as tears roll down his cheeks.
Corbyn smiled as he got up and took a step forward, putting the ring on Jack's left hand finger before pulling him close by his waist and whispering softly.
"Happy Birthday Baby", he whispered as the clock struck twelve.
Fireworks lit up the night sky making their surrounding light up as Corbyn pulled Jack into a passionate kiss, Jack wrapping his arms around Corbyn's neck deepening the kiss. The kiss lasted for three minutes before both boys pulled away because of lack of air.
"I love you so much Corbyn", Jack said pulling him into another kiss.
"I love you more Jack", Corbyn says smiling as the two pulled away once more.
"One question Corbs", he said smiling up at his now fiancée.
"Yes, love", Corbyn said placing his forehead on Jack's.
"How did you manage all of this on your own?", the brown eyed boy asked his lover.
"I didn't", Corbyn replied smiling."I had help from some friends". He pointed behind him.
Jack looked up and saw Daniel and Zach coming their way with their intertwined. It looked like they were making out. Both of their hair was a mess.
Jack laughed as he hugged the two.
"So. You did this all?", he asked them.
"Well", Daniel said laughing too"We helped".
"So the fireworks was you two" he said smiling at them both aa Corbyn wrapped an arm around him pulling him close.
"Yes", Daniel and Zach said together.
Jack laughed as he ran a hand through his hair. The ring on his finger shining brightly.
"Ooh", Zach said."Let me see it".
Jack held out his hand as Daniel and Zach looked at the ring.
"Nice Choice", Daniel said looking up and smiling at Corbyn.
"Thanks Dude", Corbyn said smiling.
"Okay", Zach said" Let's get going. We have a party to be at".
"What party?", Jack asked confused.
"Your birthday party, love", Corbyn replied laughing."Let's go".
Corbyn grabbed Jack's left hand walking towards Daniel and Zach's car. He could feel the ring on his lover's finger as he intertwined their hands together. He couldn't help but smile. Jack was his now. Forever.
~Time Skip ~
They arrived at the restaurant where the party was being held. They were greeted by Eben and Jonah who were already along side all of their families who had come to celebrate the special occasion. Only a few people knew that Corbyn had asked to marry Jack today. This included Jack's parents, his own parents and Ashley. No one else knew.
They celebrated with food and drinks. Corbyn announced his engagement yo Jack as soon as he got everyone's attention and everyone congratulated the newly engaged couple.
Corbyn's mother came up and kissed him on the cheek. Then she turned to Jack doing the same to him.
"You've got a good one", she said to her son"Make sure to take care of him".
Corbyn smiled and nodded as he held Jack's hand. He glanced at his lover.
"I love you baby", he whispered to him, pulling him close.
"Love you too Corbs", the younger replied leaning towards him." So much".
They kissed passionately for a few minutes before pulling away. Everyone cheered.
Corbyn smiled as he looked around. He was surrounded by his family, his close friends and most importantly the love of his life by his side. What more could he want. He had everything right here. And it was all that he wanted.
