The First Meeting

Jarbyn one shot~In which Corbyn and Jack have been dating for five months now and Jack finally gets to meet Corbyn's dad. Read it 😊.

Nobody's POV:-
Jack was on his laptop, typing out an assignment when the doorbell rang to his and Corbyn's apartment rang.

"Baby. Can you check who it is? I'm in the shower", Corbyn called out.

"Sure", Jack replied and moved his laptop off of his lap then got up.

He made his way to the front door  and opened it. There was a man in front of him with a small bag in his hands.

"Uh. Hello sir. How may I help you?", he asked the man.

"Is Corbyn here?", the man asked.

"Uh yes. But who are you?", Jack asked.

Before the man could reply, footsteps were heard heading towards them.

"Who is it, love?", the older asked as he came into view, rubbing his hair with the towel around his neck.

Jack opened his mouth to say something when suddenly Corbyn exclaimed in joy as he headed their way.

"Dad! It's so good to see you. I missed you", Corbyn said hugging the man then pulled away, turning to Jack.

The iconic expression on Jack's face made Corbyn chuckle.

"Oh. This is my boyfriend Jack, Dad", he said grinning as he gestured towards the younger brunette.

"Uh. Nice t-to meet y-you, s-sir", Jack stammered, causing Corbyn's dad to chuckle now.

"Looks like your boyfriend got a real surprise", Mr.Besson said chuckling.

"Yeah", Corbyn said as he wrapped his arm around Jack and kissed his cheek making the younger blush.

"Come in dad. Let's have a chat", Corbyn said as he smiled at his father.

"Let me take that for you", Jack said as he grabbed Mr.Besson's bag.

"Thank you, son", Corbyn's dad said smiling as he was lead into the living room.

The three of them talked and Jack slowly found his awkwardness fading away and soon he was chatting happily with Corbyn's dad. Upon close observation he noticed that Corbyn did look a little like his father.

"I'll go cook us some food", Jack said as he got up.

"Need any help?", Corbyn immediately asked and Jack shook his head.

"Nah. You talk to your dad. I'll be fine", he said smiling.

"Okay", Corbyn said nodding and Jack headed towards the kitchen, smiling widely.

He began taking out things when he suddenly remembered that he had no idea what Corbyn's dad liked. He headed back to the living room and looked at the pair sitting there.

"Umm. I forgot to ask. What would you like to eat?", Jack asked.

"Whatever you want to cook", Corbyn's dad said smiling.

"Jack's a great cook, dad. He'll cook you anything", Corbyn said staring at his boyfriend fondly and Jack blushed for the second time in the past two hours.

"Well then, I'll have your special", Mr.Besson said winking and grinned at Jack.

"Okay", Jack said nodding as he too smiled and headed back to the kitchen.

An hour later, dinner was ready and they all sat down to eat. After dinner, Mr.Besson was shown to his room and bid the two boys goodnight as he headed there at 10 past nine.

Corbyn and Jack stayed up until 11 watching a movie before heading to bed themselves.

"Your father's super cool", Jack said smiling as he got into bed.

"He is, isn't he?", Corbyn said smiling back."Sorry for not telling you. If I had known he was coming, I would've said something".

"Don't worry. I wasn't that surprised", Jack answered as he lay down snuggling up to Corbyn.

"Really? 'Cause it looked like you got the biggest shock of your life", Corbyn said chuckling.

"Stop it. Don't tease me", Jack said lightly slapping Corbyn's chest.

Corbyn just laughed as he wrapped his arm around Jack's waist and pulled him close.

"Goodnight, Sunshine ", he whispered.

"Goodnight", Jack mumbled as he closed his eyes.

He smiled as he drifted off to sleep. This week was going to be fun with Corbyn's dad around. He could show him his skills and he would have company when Corbyn had to leave for work. He wouldn't be lonely anymore.
