Melanie Grace was always moving. Her parents were the sort of people who were reckless and can't settle down even in just one neat place.
Today, they moved again. Her mum said that they found a place with more sunlight and where the school is nearer, unlike the flat they have now, where they were squeezed.
Mel just went with it. She was pretty much used to it. She never had any real friends because as soon as she gets a new friend, they move.
Mel wants to settle down, but she somehow inherited the reckless part of her parents. Now, they're off to California, very far from where they last moved which was Pennsylvania.
She never had any real friends because once she starts getting a new friend, they move. Also, shocking for a 16 year old, she has never been in love.
Maybe in this new place she'll learn to fall. Maybe.
