Sans and James looked in shock, as Salem somehow arrived at the place they're fighting in. What is she even doing here?

Sans spoke out, as he than launched an Abyss Chain at Salem, who used her magic to make a shield in order to stop it from reaching her head. James Ironwood was surprised, but than realized that Salem and Sans are not aligned, but do have a history with each other.
"Ahh...is that anyway to greet your master?"
Salem spoke out to Sans, who than spoke out.
"You tried to force me to be your master through torturing me. I am not your servant Salem, and I never will be. I would rather die than be your servant of complete utter destruction."
Salem frowned, as clearly, he is still immensely stubborn, just as much as James Ironwood is when it involves her. As he looked at Sans...
BANG!!!!
A part of her head exploded, but it regenerated. She than looked to see James Ironwood, standing up, aiming Due Process: White at her. Looks like he has re-energized all of his aura, and now he is ready to fight back against Salem. James Ironwood looks at Salem into her Grimm eyes, as he than spoke out to her.
"I never thought, that you would appear in person, even though you always stay in the Land of Darkness."
Salem than turned to Ironwood, and she spoke out to him.
"And what makes you think that you can try and stop me on your own, James Ironwood?"
James flinched and his eyes widened with fear and frustration for a bit, as Salem stared with her glowing red eyes.
"Time isn't on your side, James. It's always been on mine. The people of Atlas have suffered enough. Surrender the Staff and the Lamp to me, and they needn't suffer any further."
Ironwood lowers his gun. After a moment, his eyes empty of emotion and lack of any shine in his eyes, becoming blank, and his voice hardens up, as if the concept of fear no longer can be found remaining in his mind.
"That's... not going to happen."

"I will never bow to you, Salem. Not in a million years, or even longer. Nor will Atlas bow to you. We will stop at nothing to make sure that you are defeated, regardless if you are immortal or not."
James spoke out, as his aura completely recharged, and his semblance, Mettle, took effect, as he stood up from the ground, and stares at Salem. But than...another voice spoke out.
"But Atlas will bow to me!"
