A week later I was having my fifth magic lesson.

I had met Loki's magical standards, and he was now teaching me how to create the magic pocket to keep my magic in. It was kind of hard, but I was improving on it.

The room was quiet as I concentrated, and the silence was interrupted by my growling stomach. I felt my face heat up.

"Sorry," I mumbled.

"No matter," Loki said. "Using magic drains your energy. You need food."

We both stood up together.

"Want to come with?" I asked.

Loki nodded. We both headed to the kitchen where Bucky was pouring milk into a bowl of Coco Pops. I fixed Loki and I some lunch and we sat down at the table in a comfortable silence.

The silence ended when Friday spoke.

"There's a raid at Shield Headquarters," she said. "Avengers are required."

"Aw, man," I sighed.

I stood up.

"Gotta run, Loki, but I'll see you soon," I said.

"What is happening?" Loki asked, standing up and following me.

"Most likely Hydra decided that it would be a good idea to break into the Shield Headquarters and steal information, or weapons," I explained as I headed to my room. "I've gotta go and help... uh... eliminate them."

"I will assist you," Loki said as we reached my door.

I bit my lip nervously.

"You'll have to take that up with Tony," I said. "Be right back."

I walked into my room and into the closet. I pulled out my suit, which was a black suit like Nat's, but with bright, ice-blue highlights. I zipped it up and walked out of my room and to the hangar. Loki followed me to the jet. My dad was in his Iron Man suit, and held a hand out to stop Loki. The Iron Man suit and Loki were almost the same height, with the suit being a little bit taller.

"Nuh uh," my dad said. "You're not coming, Reindeer Games."

"I wish to assist," Loki growled.

"Nope," my dad said. "You're not field ready."

Loki looked like he wanted to stab my dad, so I stepped in.

"Loki, don't worry about it. I'll talk to Fury as soon as the fight ends. I'll get him to let you tag along on a mission," I said.

Loki looked at me for what felt like a minute but was probably only a few seconds.

"Alright," he said. "I shall wait here."

"He needs a babysitter-"

"He doesn't need a babysitter," I said. "He's fine."

My dad's helmet flipped up and he narrowed his eyes at Loki.

"Don't blow anything up," he said.

Loki didn't answer him, instead looking to me.

"We'll be back in... probably an hour or two," I said.

Loki nodded and left the hangar, and I felt kind of bad.

"Why couldn't we take him with us, Dad?" I asked quietly.

My dad rolled his eyes at me.

"First off, not all of us trust him as much as you do. And you know as well as I do that you've gotta be able to trust your team. Second, we're the only ones who know that Loki's back on Earth, besides Fury and Hill. How do you think the Shield agents would react to seeing him in the Headquarters? And-"
