(Suicide pill trigger warning)
If you don't feel comfortable with this, please don't read it. It is very brief and I have placed a little ~ so that you know where it starts and where it ends. <3
A few months later I was on my way to pick Peter up from school. Since he now knew about my true heritage, I could call him my 'little bro' without being suspicious. He had a free period last, so I decided I'd take him out to get cheeseburgers.
I arrived at the school and stepped out of my Ferrari with a smirk. I fixed my leather jacket and walked into the school with a swagger. I made my way to the office and heard voices.
"Mr Parker, you need to stop. Yes, you have a Stark Internship, but I doubt an Avenger would take time out of their day to pick you up from school."
I walked into the room with a grin plastered on my face. The receptionist looked away from Peter boredly. When she saw who I was, her jaw dropped. Peter turned around to see me and smiled.
"Hey, Pete," I said. "Ready to go?"
"Yep," Peter said, picking up his bag.
I walked up to the receptionist.
"I believe May Parker put me down as a guardian?" I said. "Y/n L/n."
The receptionist nodded dumbly and handed me the early leave sheet.
May knew about me. After the whole 'I accidentally revealed my biggest secret ever' fiasco, my dad decided to tell more people about me. Sure, he didn't just go and tell everyone, but there were a few select people who knew now, with May being one of them.
I signed the permission paper for Peter and gestured for him to follow me. There were a few stragglers in the hallways as we passed. I got a text and looked down at my phone, checking the message. I slowed down but Peter kept walking ahead.
Get your dumb ass back to the tower, Bucky had written. Steve's baking apple crumble.
I sighed happily, thinking of the dessert, when I heard someone talking around the corner.
"Hey, Penis Parker, what are you doing out of class?"
I furrowed my eyebrows and walked quicker to get to the corner.
"I'm going home early," I heard Peter say.
"Uh huh," the other voice said. "Going to hang out with your Avenger friends? Or your boss?"
"Mr Stark really is my boss," Peter said.
The other kid laughed, and I reached the corner.
"Yeah, and I've got a hot date with the Winter Witch."
"You absolutely do not," I said, startling the two boys.
The boy who was being rude to Peter had dark hair and a sad attempt at a moustache. I quirked an eyebrow at the boy, who was gaping at me like a fish on land.
"Let's go, Pete," I said, jerking my head towards the exit.
The other boy kept looking at me in shock, all the way out of the school.
"What's that kid's name?" I asked.
Peter rubbed the back of his neck as we walked down the stairs to the carpark.
"Flash," he mumbled.
I hummed lowly and led Peter to the car. Peter got into the passenger seat, and I started the engine. We left the carpark and I put my window down, letting the breeze tangle through my hair.
"How's school?" I asked as we stopped at a red light.
"Good, good," Peter said distractedly, looking at the rear view mirror. I looked too and saw a black SUV behind us.
The lights changed and I started driving again, and the SUV started following us. The SUV was way too close. I might have been paranoid, but I had to check.
At the next turn, I waited until the last second before turning on my indicator and turning. The SUV didn't indicate as it turned and followed us. I sped up and it sped up too.
"Y/n, I think we should-"
Peter didn't get to finish before another black SUV drove straight into the front of my car. I felt myself jerk forwards. Luckily both Peter and I were wearing seatbelts, but goddamn it still hurt like hell. Glass slashed against my skin, and I heard metal crumple. The car spun a few times before it hit a building. The movement jerked us both forward again.
I felt like I needed to close my eyes. To sleep, maybe forever. Peter called my name distantly. And then he slapped me in the face.
I snapped back to alertness and unbuckled my seatbelt. Peter had already gotten out on the opposite side, and I pressed a button on my bracelet to alert the team. I looked back to the cars. There were four now, and ten agents already had guns out and they were all trained on us. I glanced to Peter before raising my hands up in surrender.
"Leave the kid alone," I said. "He has nothing to do with this."
One of the agents cocked their head at me. He pulled off his helmet. I didn't recognise him.
"We'll get want we want," he said.
Before they could do anything, something big and metal clanged down in front of us. My dad straightened up in his suit, and Thor landed beside him. There was a flash of green light and Loki appeared next to the two.
"You alright?" my dad asked over his shoulder.
I nodded weakly and looked to Peter. He was fine, if not a little bit bloodied up. My dad started blasting at the agents. Thor threw his hammer at a few until there was only one agent conscious. Thor grabbed him by his shirt. It was the man who'd taken off his helmet.
"What do you want?" Thor asked, shaking him.
The man smiled cruelly.
"The Stark," he said, looking directly at me. "We haven't forgotten about her."
I tensed and my jaw dropped. I had completely forgotten that Hydra knew about my identity.
~
The agent smirked at me before grabbing something out of his pocket and shoving it into his mouth. Froth formed at his mouth and his eyes rolled back into his head.
~
"Shit," my dad muttered, checking the agent's pulse. "He's dead."
The agent dying didn't change anything. Hydra knew who I was.
And they could use that against us.
