"We should tell the public," I said.

After the whole car accident fiasco, we all quickly made our way back to the tower. Loki healed my minor concussion and other small wounds. He healed Peter as well.

"I agree with Y/n," Steve said. "If the truth comes from us and not Hydra, it's less likely that..."

"Things will blow up in our faces?" Bucky suggested.

Steve nodded. I sighed and Loki wrapped an arm around my shoulders. I leaned into him. My dad exhaled and rubbed a hand down his face.

"Alright," he muttered. "How should we do it? Press conference? Something else?"

Suggestions were thrown around, and we eventually settled on a press conference. It was the best way to make sure things got across correctly and there were no rumours.

I slept cuddled to Loki's chest that night. Ever since Asgard, Loki had been sleeping in my room. My floor was the closest to my dad's, and he complained about Loki being there, but they'd actually started to warm up to each other. It was nice.

"Are you nervous, Love?" Loki asked, running a hand up and down my back.

I sighed and cuddled closer to him.

"A bit," I admitted. "I just don't want anything to reflect badly on my dad."

Loki chuckled and I felt his chest rumble with the noise.

"Always looking out for others," Loki murmured, kissing my hair.

The next morning, I was up bright and early, but not by my choice. Someone (not naming names) accidentally pulled the fire alarm with his metal arm. The tower's alarm screeched me awake. Loki somehow slept through it. I woke him up and we started heading for the exit when my dad's voice projected over the tower's speakers.

"False alarm, lads and ladies. Barnes is getting old and forgot where the light switch was."

I chuckled to myself and shook my head.

Since we were already up, we decided to go and get breakfast. We passed Bucky being wrestled to the ground by a Natasha Romanoff in her pyjamas, but we ignored it. That was the safest option for everyone involved.

When we made it to the kitchen, I started making pancakes. I made sure to make enough for everyone and make everyone's favourites. I made raspberry, blueberry, banana, blueberry and banana, chocolate chip and vanilla... the list honestly went on.

Loki kept stealing the chocolate chips, so when Wanda arrived, I told him to go and talk to her. They began talking about her magic and how much she'd improved.

When the pancakes were done, everyone was already at the table.

"I didn't tell any of you what I was making," I said.

"We know," Clint said, his mouth full of pancakes. "But your dad made Friday alert us if you were making pancakes."

"Grandma Stark's recipe," my dad said fondly. "And Y/n knows how to make them the best."

I smiled at the compliment and the chorus of agreement from my team members.

Once breakfast was finished, my dad and I got into a car with Happy and Pepper, and we were off to the press conference. I twisted my fingers, and my dad grabbed my hand.

"Don't worry, kiddo," my dad said. "Everything will be fine."

I nodded and took a deep breath.

In far too little time, we were at the press conference. I walked on stage after my dad and the crowd went quiet.

You're a Stark, I told myself. You are confident, you are carefree.

"I'm just gonna get straight into it," my dad said. Cameras clicked and reporters held out their devices. "I'm pretty sure all of you know that the Winter Witch is an Avenger. What you don't know, is that she's a Stark."

There was an outburst of commotion as reporters gasped and started shouting their questions. My dad held up a hand to silence everyone. I surveyed the crowd with a cool gaze.

"Y/n is my daughter," my dad continued.

"Mr Stark, was she a secret because you're a bad father?" a reporter called.

My dad hesitated and I stepped in.

"He's a great father," I said confidently. "He always tried his best and gave me a good childhood."

There was no need to mention the kidnapping. The public didn't need to know about that.

"The public wasn't aware as a safety precaution," my dad said.

A few more questions were asked and statements were made, and then we were back in the car on the way back to the tower.

"That wasn't that bad," Pepper said, scrolling through her tablet. "You've already gotten positive reactions to it."

I smiled at my dad. It felt like a weight had been lifted off of my shoulders. I no longer had any secrets.
