"Y/n, don't worry. I'm not completely incapable of taking care of myself."
"You're going to be on the opposite side of the country, Dad. If you get hurt..."
I trailed off and blinked as tears threatened to fall. My dad pulled me into a hug.
"Don't worry, kiddo. I'll be fine. I'm bringing the nanotech, and I honestly don't think anyone will try anything," my dad said, kissing my hair. "Besides, I am an Avenger, you know. Helped save the world a few times? Remember that?"
I hugged him tightly. Being away from him scared me, seeing as each time something bad seemed to happen. When he went to Afghanistan and got kidnapped, and when I was kidnapped and experimented upon.
We really were main characters, huh.
My dad and I took the elevator down to the garage, where Happy was waiting to take my dad to the airport. I gave my dad one last hug goodbye before he was off. I walked back to my room and sat on my bed, just thinking.
A knock brought me out of my thoughts, and I stood up to open my door. Loki stood there holding a bunch of flowers.
"For you, my lady," Loki said.
I grinned at him and took the flowers. I searched my room for a vase (which I didn't have) before Loki summoned a vase. I put the flowers in the vase and placed it on my desk.
I made sure that the door was locked before I pulled Loki in for a kiss. His hands found my hips and mine tangled in his hair. I continued kissing him, and we ended up on my bed. I was on top, kissing his neck and his hands were on my ass.
About an hour later, there was another knock on my door that interrupted our make out session.
I removed my lips from Loki's and turned to the door. There was another knock, and I scrambled off of Loki.
"Just a second!" I called, smoothing down my hair and clothes.
I opened the door to see Bucky and Natasha standing there. I bit my lip and laughed nervously.
"Uh, hey guys. What's up?" I asked.
"Is there someone else in here?" Natasha asked.
I blinked in surprise.
"I – uh... why do you say that?" I asked.
Natasha narrowed her eyes at me and Bucky craned his neck behind me to see. You couldn't see my bed from the door, and I hoped that Loki had already hidden himself, although it wouldn't do much against Bucky and Natasha. When we had a hide and seeking competition a few months ago, Natasha won, with Bucky coming a close second. Loki could use his powers to hide though.
"Your hair is messed up," she said. "Your lips are swollen, and you're breathing heavily."
I blinked a coughed awkwardly. I guess I hadn't smoothed myself down enough.
"Looking at my lips, huh?" I said, trying to change the topic.
"Who's in there with you?" Bucky asked, stepping forwards and completely unfazed by my subject change.
I stopped him with a hand.
"I, uh, nobody," I said. "No one's in here."
Bucky pushed the door open, and I placed both of my hands on his chest. He walked into the room, my feet sliding against the carpet uselessly as I tried to hold him back. Natasha walked past the both of us, moving towards my bed.
I stopped trying to stop Bucky and grabbed Natasha around the waist. I used one of her moves on her, twisting so that she fell off balance.
"You're obviously hiding something," Bucky said, picking Natasha up off of the floor.
