Chapter 33: Lots of crying and more crying

Lukas opened his eyes, he wasn't in the shelter anymore..

It was all black.. But then the blackness turned into Jesse.

She was laying lifelessly on the ground.. Blood everywhere's coming from her body.

There was blood everywhere's.. And the sky was black.. And the buildings were on fire..

He watched her slowly die...

Lukas's eyes shot open and he sat up, trying to figure out his surroundings.

He saw Jesse in the corner.

Oh good, it was just a dream.. He thought to himself.

After taking a closer look he noticed that Jesse was awake, giving a cold deadly stare.

She'd look like she seen a ghost. She looked frightened and scared.

"What are you doing awake?" He said, walking over to her.

She didn't reply to him. She just looked down.. The dark gaze still never left her eyes. "C'mon, what's wrong? You can tell me.."

"I- i don't know..." She said, sadly.

"I know you do know, just please tell me.."

She didn't answer.. "Just please!" He said again.

Then she snapped.. "I'm scared okay?! I don't want to die! And I'm scared my arm is gonna stop me from winning! I'm more weaker than i was before! I won't make it! I know i won't!"

"Please, just calm down...."

"I- i don't know how..." She started to cry.

"I- Jesse it's okay..." He said, hugging her.

She was silent. She just cried in his arms.
"It's okay, just let it all out."

"I'm fine now, thank you." She said then pulled away.

"Are you sure you're okay?"

"It doesn't matter, i have to be ok. I have to do this."

"Yeah, but you don't have to do it alone.." He said, putting a hand on her shoulder.

"I know, but it just seems so impossible.."

"We've been through worse then this.. So what are you worrying about?"

"I- i don't know... I just- i just..."

"Take your time...."

"Ugh! I just don't know! It just feels so hard! Everything just always comes for us! And my arm doesn't help! How am i supposed to fight people with a wounded arm!"

"It's okay, we'll figure something out.. I promise you.. We always find a way, don't we?"

"I mean, i guess..."

"First we aren't going anywhere's today. You're resting.."

"What? No! We are not stopping because of me."

"No Jesse no. I don't care if you like it or not we're staying. I care about you and I'm helping you."

She looked at them all annoyed seeing that everyone was awake and watching them. But then finally spook...

"Ugh.. Fine...."

"Now, it's in the middle of the night.. Go to sleep."

"What if i don't want to?"

"Please..." He looked at her worriedly.

"Fine..." She said then fell asleep.

Then all the others went back to sleep too.
