HUG ME, MOM
"Dad..."
"Dad..." I called my Dad but he didn't respond. Oh, I forgot, he's working abroad.
Ramdam ko ang bigat ng katawan ko and I feel so wary and weak. I can't even stand but I have to. With my eyes half awake, I reached the thermometer on the table and checked my temperature. Fck! It still doesn't change. It's still high asf.
"Mom..." I called my mom.
"Mom...a-are you there?" I called her once again with a feeble voice.
"M-Mom...can you give me water?" But I guess she didn't hear me. So I have to stand on my own and get the water from the fridge. When I was about to sit, she appears.
She smiles at me and so do I.
She sits beside me while I was leaning on the headboard.
"You're doin' great, my baby."
"Mom..." She smiled again.
"Take care of yourself, honey, mom's always here."
" I... missed you," I uttered weakly.
" I love you, honey." With that last words, she disappeared.
At saka ako humagulgol.
Because my mom passed away a few days ago.
