Tale was always scolded by her mom, hurt by her sister, bullied by her schoolmates for she was just an "illegitimate" daughter of a rich man.
Her mom passed away and she's living with her dad's wife and daughter. Since she was a child, she's longed for genuine love and care—from family and friends, but she received neither of those but an insult. She once planned to end her life but she stops doing so.
One time, she and her sister had a small fight and her sister accidentally hit the expensive vase her father treasures a lot. Her mother came and asked them what happened, but as of what usually happens, she was the one who appeared as the antagonist, she was the one being blamed, yet her mom slaps her. When that thing was heard by their dad, she was also being scolded by him.
"It was not my fault dad." She said in a very low pitch while looking at her toes.
"How would I believe with your nonsense, Tale?"
She raised her head.
"Nonsense? Is it nonsense, dad? Fvck this!—" This time she shouted and she was being slapped.
"Oh yeah, it's nonsense. Do you even hear me, dad? Even once in my life? No, right?" This time, she looked directly at her dad's eyes with those tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Do you even think of me as your child? Your daughter?"
"Yes, I'm living in a luxury. You even gave me these shimmering things around my body, but this is not what I want, dad! I want your love, your presence, and the care of a father!"
"But never in my life, I felt either of those. You let mom die and I hate you for that, but I cannot hate you completely for you're still my father, but I'm so tired of this shit. You and your family only let me feel like I didn't belong in this family."
"I will be leaving this home dad, that share from the company? I don't have any interest in those."
"Once you step out of this house, you're no longer my daughter." Authoritatively says by her dad.
A feeble smile flashed on her face.
"Fine. I don't want to be a part of this family anymore, anyway. Thank you for everything, chairman." She bowed and walked out of her father's office and went into her room and cried a lot.
That night, she leaves everything behind and left her home.
The next day, the news shocks everyone out. Tale, the daughter of the chairman of SKR Company, got hit by a car. But when they visit the hospital where she was admitted, she wasn't there and they never found her for four years.
————————
"Psyche, today's the launching of SKR's project, I want you to be there, 5 pm."
"Sure, dad."
"Do you have any plans today?"
"I do, but after the event, maybe."
At the event, she saw them. The whole family was there. When the launching was about to end, she followed her.
"It's been a while, sis." She smirked and a surprise was then traced on her sister's face.
"T-Tale?"
She nodded.
"Y-You're alive?"
"What a nice meet-up. Do you miss me, or are you disappointed to see me alive? That your plan failed?" She smiled and pulled her gun out of her bag and pointed it to her sister.
"Let me take your life also sis and let the media go crazy over the death of the heiress of SKR Com—" she suddenly stopped and didn't move.
"Psyche!" Her uncle (the one who she treated as her dad), cover her with her jacket and let their bodyguard carry her, and left her sister.
—————
"Psyche?"
"I'm good." She responded and blink her eyes.
"I'm sorry, dad."
Her dad sighed.
"I'm your mom's brother and I helped you for you could take revenge, not in a way of killing."
"I'm sorry, dad."
"Psyche, remember that I made you a cyborg not to become a killer but to be my daughter, okay?"
"Yes, dad. Thank you." She smiled.
"It's alright. Take a rest now. By the way, I already changed your battery."
She's Tale, the daughter of the Chairman of SKR's Company and now (Psyche), the heiress of her uncle's company.
And yes, that cyborg is me.
