I woke back up that morning to feel Jack's strong arms wrapped tight around my waist, his hands resting on my lower back. I looked up at him and smiled softly, kissing his cheek. His eyes fluttered open and smirked at me.

"Mornin'." He smirked, leaning down to kiss my neck gently.

"Morning." I blushed madly, slowly pulling away from him, "We need to get up and ready. We already slept in." I said, softly.

"Youse worry too much" Jack chuckled and kissed me gently.

I kissed him back, but very slowly pulled away, "Well, we do kind of have a strike to win today." I chuckled softly.

He smirked and chuckled, "Fine." He whined.

"Come on, you get ready and I'll make us breakfast." I said and kissed his cheek, standing to put my robe on. Before I could, Jack snuck up behind me, his hands on my hips, holding me pressed to him, "J-Jack, come on." I said softly.

"Okay, okay. Ise just wanted ta tell ya how beautiful youse is." He smirked, rubbing my sides gently.

Jack knew I was now under his spell. It was like I couldn't resist him. We both knew what we wanted, and we knew the other wanted. He pulled me back into bed and kissed me deeply. It wasn't till 11:30 we finally had the idea to get out of bed and start our day. I threw my head on the pillow next to him, breathless as we held hands and stared at the ceiling, "You really do know how to make me feel like I'm special." I smiled.

"Youse are special." He smirked, sitting up to look at me.

I blushed and smiled, "We should get up. We have a lot of explaining to do today." I said as I sat up.

He nodded, wrapping his arms around with his head on my shoulder, "What if da fella ain't happy with us?" He asked.

"Well, they're definitely not going to be happy with us, but they're good people. Good friends. They'll understand eventually." I said. Jack nodded as I got up and got my robe on. I walked to his side of the bed and kissed his cheek, kneeling next to him, "Everything will work out. I promise."

"I'll believe ya." He smirked, holding my hands.

I smiled and stood, "Go get washed up and I'll make us some..." I quickly looked at the clock, "lunch." I giggled softly seeing it was almost 12.

He nodded and got up as I went to the kitchen. I quickly got some eggs scrambled and cut some potatoes to throw into the frying pan. My phone rang as I flipped the eggs. I put the spatula down and ran over to the phone, "Hello?" I answered.

"Oh, good afternoon, dear." My father replied.

"Mr. Pulitzer, what do you want?" I asked.

"Please, drop the formalities, Katherine, darling. I had called earlier but there was no answer. I sent the Delanceys over, I am going to assume they haven't arrived yet." He said.

"They haven't. And, even if they have, I wouldn't have given them the time of day." I said as Jack walked out of the bathroom, a towel around his waist and another around his neck.

"Ace?" He asked.

I quickly motioned for him to be quiet, "Why did you call me in the first place, Mr. Pulitzer?" I asked father.
