Dear Journal,

I'm 17 tomorrow. I'll officially be out to society. I'm supposed to be happy. I'll only be scared. Jack is still injured from his run in with Mr. Andrews' men and I don't think he can take much more. Jack is strong, but Andrews is way more powerful than he is strong. I couldn't live with myself if anything happened to him.

So far, all of our plans were well underway. Darcy and Bill bought all the boys suits to wear and all us girls are nearly finished with our gowns. Edith said she's been sneaking into my old room, hiding masks in the drawers of the dresser with the help of Timothy and Olivia. So far, everything seems to be going perfectly as planned.

I'm not going to lie, I'm terrified. If anything goes wrong, if Andrews takes matters into his own hands, it's over. Everything. I don't even know what I did on Sunday night to make him hurt Jack so badly, but with what we have planned, I don't want to know what he'll do to him now.

I can't even think what could happen if I lose him. Or any of the boys or girls for that matter. I would-

"Katherine!?"

I close my Journal and look across the stage, seeing Vanessa wave me over. We have taken over Miss Medda's stage, using it as our work space to tailor the dresses and suits tonight. I tucked my Jounral into my bag, then stood, walking across the stage. Vanessa nodded me backstage, to where Jess has been very seriously working for the past 4 hours since we got here at 5 o'clock.

"What is it?" I asked as Vanessa sat by Jess' side.

"It's done." Jess said, standing and turning around the mannequin so I could see the front of my gown.

It's gorgeous! The bust just covered the mannequin's chest, in the center it plunged down lower and had a rose at the bottom. The straps hung down, dark red and pink roses covering them. The purple satin fabric from the torso and waist is pushed aside, ruffled to almost looking like the curtain on the stage, revealing the cream color fabric with the deep pink and purple flowers on it. The original purple fabric was lowered in the back, being able to be dragged across the floor while the front hung just above the ankle.

'As soon as I laid my eyes on it, I gasped and covered my mouth in disbelief, "This. This is the same gown Father gave me for Christmas?" I asked, "The one I've been working on for weeks?"

"Well, actually, this is." Vanessa said, bring over another mannequin. The resemblance between this one and my original gown is more noticeable. It had white lace, along with the ruffles up the front.

"Ise was thinkin', since Ise already picked out dis fabric for ya and youse asked me ta turn dis one inta ya gown, Ise would just make both." Jess said.

"You put so much time into both just for me to wear one?" I asked.

"Well, we were thinking..." Vanessa said.

"The more pink one can be Edith's." Jess said.

"You think I will let my sister wear that?" I asked.

"Why wouldn't you? You, and all your friends, are wearing it." Vanessa said

I sighed, "She's just so innocent."

"After everything all of us have been through, we're not innocent." Vanessa sighed

I sighed, "I'll have someone deliver it to her."

"Ise can. I gotta be headin' out soon anyways." Jess said.

"Don't you need to help the others?" I asked.
