I never thought I would have a Christmas like this. Waking up in the arms of Jack and looking out the window to see the snow covered city. I smiled wide and shot up, "Jack! Look out!" I squealed, "It snowed!"
Jack groaned softly and looked out, then smirked softly at me, "It's beautiful."
I looked and blushed, "Shut up." I muttered with a giggle.
"C'mere." Jack smirked, pulling me back into his arms.
"We can't sleep the day away. Surely, my family would want me downstairs." I giggled softly.
"Da fellas probably want me, too." He chuckled softly.
"I don't want you to leave, though." I sighed.
"Ise will see ya ta'night." He said, kissing my head.
I nodded and kissed him gently. Jack smirked softly, and held me close. As I rolled over so I was on his lap, there was a knock on my door. I sighed, gently and slowly pulling away from Jack, "Yes?" I asked through the door.
"Katherine, it's nearly 10." Edith called in, "Father wants you downstairs."
I sighed, "I'll be down soon."
"Okay." She said, before I heard her walk off.
Jack and I sighed, he cupped my cheek and kissed me gently. I held him close and smiled softly before he pulled away and got up. He went to the chair, picking up his clothes and getting dressed. I laid in bed, watching him, "See ya tonight." I smiled softly.
"See ya." He smirked softly, walking over and kissing me gently.
After he pulled away, he got his shirt on and left out the window. I sighed softly and got up. As I got dressed, I took that time to think about everything. Now that the staff and half my family know about Jack, it'll be very odd for me to accept Mr. Andrews' proposal. But, did I actually tell Jack how I feel? Yes, I expressed that I love him, but he did go out with another girl.
I know he called me the most beautiful girl and said he loved me, but I still can't help but think of him with another woman. It breaks my heart. Even if they really went out just as friends, Jack is still, well... Jack. He's flirtatious with every girl he meets and he is a teenage boy. If I remember anything from Darcy, Bill, and Ralph being teenagers it was that they were very.... aroused.
No matter what, I need to tell Jack how I truly feel. As I finished getting ready, I made sure my gown was straightened out perfectly. I finished by putting two diamond combs in my hair, one on each side to keep it back. I looked in the mirror and smiled softly before going downstairs.
Christmas with a rich family was nice. We always had the biggest, most beautiful tree covered in candles and family ornaments from nearly 30 years ago. Grandmother would alway tell me about her first Christmas tree and how Father brought it home for her and Grandfather. It was nice to think of him with a heart.
This was our first Christmas without them, so it was especially hard. But, luckily, I had the fellas and the girls this year and I couldn't be happier. As I ran down the stairs, Father looked at me, "Katherine, no running." He said.
"Of course, Father." I said, slowing down.
He smiled softly at me, "Merry Christmas, darling."
"Merry Christmas, Father." I said.
"Merry Christmas, Katie!" Constance and Herbert giggled, running over and hugging me.
"Merry Christmas, Conni." I smiled, "Merry Christmas, Tony."
"We're happy you came home in time for Christmas!" Tony giggled.
"I'm to be with you two again." I smiled, kissing their heads.
