"One of these days we will wake up in our bed." I giggled.

Jack and I had fallen asleep once more on the rooftop. It was just so peaceful. It was quiet and free and quite cool for being a summer day. Jack's one arm was wrapped tightly around my waist, his other hand holding a pencil as he held a paper on his knee. My head was on his shoulder as I looked down and sighed, "So much for clean sheets." I realized had had used a few to lay on and cover up with last night.

"Ace, it's fine. Ise will wash 'em for ya." He said, barely looking up from his drawing.

I looked at him, the rising sun blinding me, "What are you drawing?" I asked.

"A new sketch for Da World." He said and looked at me, "Hey, maybe youse should come with me ta'day. Ise gotta turn it in and pick up my check."

"No, I have to work." I said.

"Maybe beforehand?"

"Jack, please. I really don't feel like going there." I sighed

He nodded and kissed my temple, "Of course, Ace."

I smiled softly and kissed his cheek, "We better get ready." He nodded, standing to put his clothes from the day before on. I sighed, "You should wear your red shirt. You have worn that one every day since I met you."

"Ise fine." He said.

"It smells, Jack. And, not like a blossom in spring, like a teenage boy's knickers. Have you even washed it lately?" I asked.

"Yeah, youse did last." He said.

"That was a month ago. Jack, please, just wear the clean one." I said.

He sighed, "Didn't know youse was gonna be my mom in dis relationship." He muttered.

I quickly shot him a look, "Someday I will forgive you for that remark." I said, standing and straightening out my nightgown.

Jack rushed over and wrapped his arms around my waist, "Y'know Ise love ya." He smirked and pecked a kiss on my neck.

"I do." I smiled and spun around to kiss his cheek, "Come on, let's head down."

He nodded and took my hand, going to the fire escape with me. We ran down, and I went to wash up as Jack went down to our room to change his shirt. I threw on a light green dress, and tied a little white ribbon around the collar. I pulled my hair up, into a loose, messy bun on top of my head.

I left the bathroom, walking through the crowded boy's rooms back down to mine. Walking through their rooms in the mornings was like walking through a madhouse. There was close flying, and all of them shouting at each other. It was very different from the quiet house I grew up in.

I made a quick escape to the basement to see Jack in his red shirt, under his grey vest. She smiled and walked over, straightening his vest, then placing my hands on his chest, "See? Handsome."

"If ya say so, Ace." Jack chuckled softly.

"I do." I smiled and kissed him gently.

Jack smirked and wrapped his arms tight around my waist, deepening our kiss. I blushed and smiled, feeling him dip me into his arms moreso. He had us stumble back and fall on to the bed.

I giggled softly into our kiss as Race came down the steps, "Oh, c'mon! Dis is why wes' said no girls!" He said, sounding fully disgusted. Jack stretched his arm back and flipped Race off before gently and slowly pulling away from me.

"C'mon." He said, helping me up.

He grabbed his cap and bag, before we headed up the steps. As Jack walked to the door, I went to grab my bag, "Here." I smiled and handed him a tie from out of my bag, "Father will like it." I said, putting it on for him.
