ACT TWO, CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN While it Lasts
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
JENNIFER WAS GONE AND DEUCALION WAS GONE. The thought alone put Andi's mind at ease as she looked at her reflection in the mirror. After everything that happened with Jennifer and the Alpha pack, she thought about how much she changed. She was different from who she was a couple of months ago, there was no denying it. She was a bit more bold than she was before. A few months ago, she would've underestimated her own power and strength and would try to play it safe. But now, she knew how much power she really had and would do anything, no matter what, to help her friends, even if it was questionable. So after thinking about it for a few days, she decided to change her hair colour again.
She wasn't going to lie, she would miss the blonde and pastel pink and blue streaks, but the much darker pink with slightly darker blue streaks seemed more bold just like she had become. Probably too bold but she didn't really care if everyone else didn't like it, she just wanted a change; something different.
"I'll sure miss your old hair," her grandmother sighed as she stood behind her and Andi smiled as she looked at her through the mirror.
"Me too. But I needed something different after everything that happened," she replied.
"You know, your birthday is coming up in a few weeks and I need to know what you wanna do when you reach that sweet sixteen," her grandmother grinned and Andi groaned as she left the bathroom.
"Grams, it's just another birthday. No one even knows it's coming up. I just kept it to myself this whole time," she said as she grabbed her bag.
"So, your friends don't know?" her grandmother asked and Andi just shook her head.
"It just never really came up since we've been pretty busy fighting for our lives," she answered with a tight lipped smile.
"Well, maybe we'll do something fun with just the two of us. We can make your favourite snacks and watch your favourite movies," her grandmother suggested while Andi put her shoes on.
"Maybe," she replied.
"Did you give your mother and father a call? I'm sure they miss you and would like to talk to you," the older woman said.
Andi stopped in her tracks and her shoulder sagged a little but she quickly regained her composure and turned around. "They had months to call me, Grams. If they missed me or even loved me at all, they would've picked up the phone a long time ago. Not that it matters anyway since I've been doing just fine without them," she mumbled.
Before her grandmother could say anything, there was a knock on the door. Andi opened it and smiled when she saw Isaac standing there.
