"in here," his voice stern. hyejin who had pursed lips, walked into the classroom with her arms crossed over each other. mr jun turns to glare at the two, "when i come back at 5, i want to see this place spotless. do you understand?" he roars.

"yes."

mr jun walks out of the room, leaving hyejin and jaehyun in the empty and dirty classroom.

"will he put in our demerits?"

hyejin sighs, nodding as she tossed her bag on an empty table. "of course he will, it's mr jun," she walks off to the corner of the room where the broom was. she takes one and tells jaehyun to grab the other.

"do you know how to use a broom?"

jaehyun makes a face at hyejin, "who do you think i am?"

"how would i know? do you even help your mother with chores?" she scowls. hyejin turns away to sweep the dirty floors.

jaehyun starts sweeping the floor, but towards the front of the classroom, "you don't know me like you think you do, okay? i help my mom more than you help your mom."

"yah, do you even wash your plates after eating?" argues hyejin, "i bet that you don't."

"that's the most basic thing to ever ask someone. how about you? do you mop and vacuum your home?"

"shut up!" she glares, knowing that she doesn't help with those things. hyejin mostly spends her weekends sleeping and sneaking out to dance. jaehyun only smirks in triumph and continued cleaning up the room.

once they were done sweeping, they took each chair and stacked them on the table. jaehyun then cleaned the chalkboard and other things while hyejin decided to relax. she sat on the floor, her back to the wall as she stares at her phone.

"we still have time to spare," she sighs tiredly, "i'm going to be so late for practice," she says to herself. "since when did you join the academy?" this time the question was directed to jaehyun.

jaehyun faces her, "only recently," he answers, "you?"

"it's been years," hyejin replies, tilting her head back against the wall. "since when were you interested in singing?" she chuckles and jaehyun glares at her.

"that's none of your business, lee."

hyejin rolls her eyes, "you're always so cold towards me."

"because you're annoying," he shrugs.

"you always say that. but you're way more annoying than i am."

the both of them fell into silence. it wasn't awkward, nor was it uncomfortable, it was just silence as they did their own thing; hyejin busy on her phone and jaehyun just staring into space.

"why did you join the academy anyway?" asks jaehyun, "do you want to be a dancer or something?" he sounded sincere, but also in mocking away.

"yeah," she replies, "'ve always been my dream. i actually have a performance on it soon. there would be companies watching you, and if you're lucky, a company would want you."

"that's too much pressure," mumbles jaehyun

mr jun entered the room a while after that, dismissing the two with a reminder to study harder since it was their last year. hyejin grabs her bag and walks out of the room after bowing to mr jun, jaehyun did the same.

"are you going to the academy?" jaehyun asks her with glancing awkwardly at the girl.

"yeah," she nods, "i'm already late," she sighs, turning to look up at the boy, "are you going to the academy too?"
