hyejin lets out a small yawn, her hand going up to cover her mouth. the girl pushes herself off her bed in dazed, reaching for the black zipped up jacket that was laying on her chair. she shrugs it over her frail body, zipping it halfway before she leaves her room.

"ma, i'm going to take a walk," hyejin calls out, already slipping on her converse.

"at night? be careful, and don't come home too late," her mother reminds.

hyejin only hums, closing the door shut, as she steps out of the blue gate. the lamp post, beam dimly, a yellow tint of light lighting up the pathway to the academy. it was getting a little colder now, but it wasn't very cold to the point she had to cover up much.

she reaches the academy a little bit earlier than usual. hyejin decides to wait inside the building, since it was unsafe for a single female to be alone at night. the girl takes the stairs to the top floor, waiting for her boyfriend.

"hyejin?"

she looks up from her phone to see taeyong standing before her. she grins, going up to him to wrap her arms around the other boy.

"what are you doing here, yong?" she asks, as she pulls away, but taeyong's arm remain around her shoulder.

"missed you guys," he grins cheekily, but hyejin only glower at him, waiting for the actual reason he was back in the academy. "i'm serious! i came to see mr choi."

mr choi was one of the past dance instructor, he was teaching the beginner's class, so hyejin doesn't see him very often.

"sure," she rolls her eyes.

a sudden sound of someone clearing their throat catches their attention. their head whip to the front, to see jaehyun looking at the two. hyejin's eyes widen as her cheeks dusted pink as she pulls away from taeyong.

"jeong!" she exclaims, going up to his side, "you're here..."

but jaehyun doesn't look over at her, his eyes staring daggers at the other boy in the room. hyejin notices the awkward tension between the two, so she tugs jaehyun's t-shirt, begging for him to drop it.

jaehyun tugs his girlfriend's arm to his side, before wrapping his arm around the girl. hyejin gasps, looking up at jaehyun with wide eyes.

"what are you doing here, hyung?" jaehyun grits his teeth as he speaks. he hates how taeyong and hyejin were always so touchy, even with her countless reminders claiming that they were only friends.

but, since when did they become so close that jaehyun calls him hyung, thinks hyejin.

"came to see my teachers," taeyong replies, a smirk playing on his lips. taeyong raises his fingers, pointing at the other two, "are you guys dating?"

the abrupt questions shocked them. not expecting anyone to figure out this quickly.

"no—"

"yes, we are. we have been for the past week," jaehyun answers confidently.

hyejin bites her lips in annoyance.

"really?" taeyong exclaims with a grin, "how come i didn't know about this?"

"because it was meant to be a secret," hyejin assert, pinching jaehyun's waist, to which his winces with a glare at the shorter girl. "yong, do us a favour and don't tell anyone about this?"

"of course, of course," taeyong tilts his head back as a laughter erupts from his throat, "wah, i can't believe the two of you are dating now. the first time i met jaehyun, you guys weren't even talking."
