hyejin and jaehyun bids their other friends goodbye, watching them walk away together before they finally turn around, walking back to the academy.

it was almost 6PM, it was a little late to go back to the academy, for jaehyun, at least, but because he doesn't really have anything to do at home, since the exams are over, he decided that he would go for the last 2 hours.

"are you going to the academy too?" hyejin asks, to which jaehyun nods. "i'll follow you. i kind of miss the other dancers."

jaehyun nods awkwardly.

hours had passed but jaehyun still couldn't forget about the contact that they had made from earlier. every time he thinks about it, his cheeks and ears would turn red. it was a little better from this morning though— when he felt like he could melt just at the sight of her.

not like he could look at her right now, though. he just feels, weird. it was hard to admit that he likes someone that he has hated all these years.

"um," jaehyun clears his throat, eyes quickly darting to the shorter girl next to him, "earlier... um, why did you hug me earlier?"

hyejin hums, "i told you," she chuckles shyly, "because i was happy."

that was it? because she was happy?

he couldn't help but felt a little dumbfounded by her answer.

"oh," he nods, "okay," he sighs out.

hyejin looks up at him, "and," she adds on, "because you helped me with english, remember? i kind of owed you a little."

jaehyun had to control every fibre of his being to not smile at her words. so it was because of him that she had hugged him?

okay, the answer satisfied him.

"you didn't have to hug me," he replies, although it was a total lie, "could've just bought me something."

hyejin rolls her eyes, "hey, did you forget? this morning? you stole my strawberry milk."

this time, jaehyun finally has the guts to look at her, "i wanted to try the strawberry milk, lee," he sighs, shaking his head, "you shouldn't be selfish you know? furthermore, i was the reason you got b's."

"whatever, jeong. as long as you enjoyed your strawberry milk," she sighs, "since when did you even like strawberry milk?" she mumbles to herself, but jaehyun hears it clearly.

"only recently," he replies, but hyejin doesn't hear.

the girl had stopped in her tracks, her eyebrows furrowed as her eyes trained onto something. jaehyun follows her eyes, he notices her parents were inside the academy building, where the receptionist was. it was clear that her mother was angry, seeing as how she had her eyebrows furrowed, and was practically screaming.

"hyejin!" jaehyun calls when he sees her stomping over to the academy, "lee!" he calls again, but to no avail because hyejin was now pushing the glass door open, stumbling in next to her parents.

"what are you doing!" hyejin had tears brimming her eyes, she looks around to see a paper with the word termination at the top. she looks up to see her dance instructor looking apologetically at her.

"you were dancing?" her mother roars, "this whole time. when i thought you were in school studying your ass off, you have been here dancing?!" her mother too had tears in her eyes. "god, hyejin," she sighs in disappointment, "every single night, i've always prayed that you did well in school, but for, god knows how long, you have been here doing things that you shouldn't be doing!"
