| Chris' POV |
Where is Ricky?! I'm worried about him. I know he said he was going to visit his cousin or something. He's still been gone a few hours and I just don't have a good feeling about this. Maybe I'm just over worrying. Ricky never does well on his own. At least he hasn't in recent months.
"Dev, can you call Ricky? I can't get him to answer his phone." I urged him as I paced back and forth in the bus lounge.
He pulled his phone out of his pocket and dialed. "Straight to voicemail." He said.
"Where is he?!" I groaned.
"I'm sure he's fine." Balz responded. "He's an adult. He can handle himself."
"He always gets himself into trouble when he's alone." I stressed, feeling my heart aching.
Ryan sighed. "He's right. Let's give it another hour, okay?"
"How 'bout more like five minutes?" I asked.
"Forty-five minutes?"
"Twenty."
"Thirty?"
"Fine." I huffed. "Thirty minutes."
| Ricky's POV |
The stormy weather slowed me down from getting back to the bus in time. I just didn't want the guys worried or suspicious about me being gone. Eventually the taxi did come to the rest stop we were parked at, but I was an hour and a half late from when I told Chris I'd be back.
I got on the bus and was careful how loud I was. People were probably sleeping at this time of day. Because we play at night, we sleep during the day. Honestly I was tired myself. The trip had drained me both physically and emotionally.
"Ricky!" I heard Chris gasp as he walked towards me, emerging from the bunks. "Where were you?! I was worried sick!"
He couldn't yell because of people sleeping. So, he was whisper-yelling, which honestly felt worse.
I flinched a little bit to see the flakes of hatred in his eyes. "I-I'm sorry. It was just the weather a-and..."
"Where were you?"
"With family." I said simply.
"Ricky, we've been best friends for years now. I know where you're lying. Where were you?... You went and saw Jani, didn't you?" Chris questioned in disbelief. I looked away. I'm sure he took my silence as confirmation. "Ricky? Didn't you?!" He snapped.
"Y-y-yes!" I stammered.
Chris threw his hands up in the air as he looked to the Heavens. "You've got to be fucking kidding me." He looked back at me. "Are you serious, Ricky? After all we did? All the work we put into getting rid of him? You said you were done with him."
"I am!"
"Obviously not! What else have you been lying about?"
"I just needed closure." I confessed as my heart shook. "That's it!"
"No, you don't get it. That wasn't it, okay? Because you lied about where you were. You lied about being over him. It just makes me wonder..." He trailed off.
I stared at him with concern. "Wonder about what?"
He huffed. "Wonder if you could lie about so much, were you telling the truth when you said you loved me?"
Cliffhanger, woo! Okay so so many wonderful people helped me out! I'm going to dedicate the next few to those who did! Pretty much everyone had the same general idea of things going to shit when Chris found out about Ricky's visit to Jani. Thanks all!
