| Chris' POV |
We finally had a day off. We've had a show every night since the beginning of Warped, and I'm glad to have a day to recharge my batteries. Josh took the bus to get repairs after we had the flat tire incident last night. So the rest of us either had to go on the other bus, or entertain ourselves elsewhere.
Ricky wasn't doing well. He might say he's fine, but he's far from it. He and I sat on the couch of the other bus, enjoying each other's company. The poor thing was skin and bones. I wish he'd eat, but he won't touch food. Something was making him this depressed, and I pretty much knew at this point, it was the thought of Jani coming back around.
The bus door opened, and Devin and Shiloh came on. They had gone out for a little date, while Ryan-Ashley and Allie watched the baby for them.
"Welcome back." Ryan greeted them.
"How was it?" Allie asked.
Devin walked over to her and picked up Bella. He smiled at the baby, then at Allie. "Good, really good."
"Did you go smoosh faces somewhere?" Balz joked.
He rolled his eyes with a laugh. "You say that like you don't do it."
"I'm a perfect angel." He said, to which Ryan-Ashley shook her head humorously.
Shiloh sat down next to me and Devin joined him. Ricky just barely looked up at them, then put his head back down on my shoulder. He was really tired, and he's been this way for a while now. It was really worrying me. Devin noticed and gave me a look of concern too, but didn't say anything in regards to it.
"We have good news." Shiloh stated.
"Oh yeah." Devin said. "We picked a date and a venue for the wedding."
"Oooo tell us, tell us!" Ryan-Ashley begged.
Balz poked her. "Stop being such a chick."
She gave him a playful dirty look. "I have to live vicariously through them."
"Buuuuurrn." Ryan added.
Balz reached over and tried to hit him, but he flinched back. They started to wrestle and fuck around with each other. The concerning part was the baby was entertained by this. She cooed and bounced around.
I looked at Bella sitting in Devin's lap. "Don't let your uncles teach you bad habits, kid."
"He's right, don't look." Devin snickered.
"Will you two stop it?!" Allie sneered.
They were on the floor at this point. Ryan pushed Balz off of him and sat up. "Sorry, mom."
"You're so not getting laid tonight." Balz told him.
"Neither are you." Ryan replied.
"How about we get back to the wedding news?" Ryan-Ashley interjected.
Devin sighed. "Yeah, let's. We're getting married at the old chapel that's off the highway. The really old one that's in the middle of nowhere, on October 30th."
"All Hallow's Eve." I commented. "We can't wait. Have you decided on who's going to be in your wedding party?"
"Well, obviously all of you will be." Shiloh said. "But we don't know fully who's going where or who'll be best man and maid of honor. It's kind of hard, since we love you all."
"I'd be a better maid of honor." Allie joked. "You should totally pick me."
"Who says he wants to pick you?" Ryan-Ashley scoffed sarcastically.
"And they yelled at us for fighting." Ryan sulked, then laughed.
Shiloh giggled. Then he looked down the couch towards Ricky and I, saying, "Actually, I was hoping Ricky would want be my maid of honor, so to speak. Only if he wants to be."
Ricky looked up at him. "Me? Seriously? Why?"
"Because that's just what I want. I understand if you'd feel uncomfortable standing with the girls or something like that."
"No, not at all. I was just surprised you want me to, but I'd be honored." He forced a smile.
And I mean really forced. I knew deep down he was happy, but it was all drowning under his depression. I smiled at him and kissed his head. God, I wish there was something I could do to help him. Without his medications, and with Jani, he won't pull out of this.
