| Chris' POV |
"I don't think this is a good idea." Josh said.
"Please, guys." I begged, for the millionth time. "I don't ever ask you guys for things!"
"Yeah, but the one thing you did, it has to be this?" Balz asked. "I'm not sure about this. Having such a young kid on the bus?"
"We don't know this kid either." Ryan added.
"I promise he's trustworthy. He can sleep in my bunk with me, he'll help with setup every night."
"I think we should take Shiloh with us." Ricky muttered, shooting me a small smile.
I returned the smile, as a thank you for sticking up for me.
"What's the worst that could happen?" Ghost asked.
"He kills us in our sleep." Vinny said.
I sighed. "He's a nineteen year old kid that weighs just a little over a hundred pounds. I think if he was crazy, we wouldn't have much a problem overpowering him. Plus, he's not crazy!"
Ghost rolled his eyes. "Just let him take the kid with us."
"You're only sticking up for him because it takes the attention off of you." Josh muttered.
"What's that supposed to mean?" He snapped.
"It means we all know about you and Ricky!" Ryan scoffed.
He grit his teeth. "And what about us?"
"This is a little off topic." Vinny interrupted.
"But we have to address it anyways." Balz sighed as he looked over at Ricky. "It's kind of been an elephant in the room."
Ricky frowned and looked down. He scooted a little closer towards Ghost. Then Ghost put his arm over Ricky's shoulder to comfort him. I knew having everyone staring at him was making him extremely nervous.
"We've been seeing each other casually. There, are you all happy?" Ghost stated. "Now, back to the topic at hand. I think we should let Shiloh join us on tour. He's a sweet kid and he needs a little help. Last time I checked, we were all about helping people."
"We are." Josh sighed. "Fine, Chris, but he's your responsibility."
I smiled ear to ear. "Thank you, guys."
| Ricky's POV |
A few followed, and everyone quickly got used to having Shiloh around. He was really quiet, didn't talk at all really. Did I mind? Not at all. I'm not much for loud noise, unless it's a concert.
I sat on the couch, watching outside as we passed over a long bridge. We were playing in Cleveland tonight. It's always a loud show! This city is big on rock. From driving time and a few days off, this is actually the first show we've played since Shiloh joined us.
Him and Chris were in the very back lounge. Devin was on his computer over at the table, Ryan was driving, and the others were watching TV.
"What's so interesting out there?" Vinny asked me.
I shrugged. "The water is pretty."
"The water? Really?" He chuckled.
"Hey, it's not this clean on the upper east coast. I rarely see sparkling water like this." I defended myself.
Dev smirked. "Just let him be. I think it's cute."
I glanced over at him and smiled. "Thanks."
He took a drink off his coffee, winking at me. "Mhm."
I felt my cheeks flush. I'm not really sure what him and I are. We make out and sleep in a bunk together, but that's about it. Sometimes he comes up behind me and hugs me, or kisses my neck. I'm not complaining about the lack of relationship, because I'm still with Jani, and I don't plan on leaving him. It's just... I know he did cheat on me once, so I consider us even now.
Devin got up and leaned over me to look out the window. We watched the city rapidly outside the bus. It was enchanting in a way. I glanced at him and flashed a small smile. He did the same, and stole a kiss off my lips.
