Ch. 12 Never Do That Again
I groaned and got up charging back into the fight. Adrian was confronting Lucario, swiping furiously at his opponent. He jumped up and down, striking all over Lucario’s body. Lucario was hardly feeling effects. I ran in to strike but Lucario grabbed Adrian using him like a baseball bat, and once again I was flying backwards into a wall. It was not a good day.
Meanwhile, Adrian was hit and flew away, hitting a lot of stuff. I sighed. We were getting our butts handed to us out there. We weren’t any good, and he was letting us know it. Lucario smashed Harper into a wall, then turned to Nelly. I had to stop him. I jumped up and ran like I had never run before. I dropped into a ball, curling to attack.
”ROLLOUT!” I charged into Lucario, then turned and hit again multiple times. I finally stopped after several times. He lied there. Then he got up. I stood firm.
”Come back for more, wimp?” I grinned.
”Sadly, you don’t have any energy left to fight me, I believe.” He placed a hand on my chest. I felt a strange energy flow through, then I collapsed in pain.
”You aren’t ready to defeat me. My energy is too great.” He said, turning away. ”Leave. Or you all will suffer.”
He walked off. I lied there. Nelly eventually ran over to me. Harper got up and ran to where he had gone.
”Wait.” Adrian stopped her. ”Don’t. We can’t stop him.”
”No! I refuse to believe that! We can-” Harper insisted.
”No.” I interrupted. ”He’s right. We need to train. Get stronger. But we can’t fight him right now. Not now.”
