Ch. 6 The Scream (of Someone Else)

I was back home later, and sat down on my bed, fingering the Pokedex. I didn’t know what my life was going to be like now. ”Hmm…” I sighed and fell back. I would think about it some other time.

Much later, it was Monday and I was back in school. It was really boring, (No duh) and I was considering falling asleep in science class when someone screamed their head off.

WHAT THE HELL I WAS TRYING TO GET SOME SLEEP!  I thought, and saw a girl running as far as possible from the window. My pokedex, carefully hidden in my pocket, started beeping. I knew I had to get out. I went with the classic trick.

”Heyissomethingoutthere? Thanks, bye!”

It always catches them off guard.

I sprinted out the door down to the front of  the building. I pulled out the Pokedex and looked around.

Suddenly a large purple gas ball formed in front of  me. I turned the pokedex toward it in a panic.

Gastly. Gas pokemon. Ghost and Poison type. It becomes invisible to avoid notice. It spreads gas to intoxicate it’s foes.

”Wow, really? Invisible things ALREADY!?!?” I sighed and concentrated, morphing to Sandshrew. I looked around for the thing.

”C’mon! Not that I’m not enjoying missing science class, but I really need to get back in there.” I can’t believe that I actually had to say that. I thought.

As I turned, I suddenly saw the gas ball appear before me. It giggled and attacked.

”Lick!” It yelled and  proceeded to try to lick me. I dodged and ran.

”WHY THE HECK IS IT AN ATTACK TO LICK SOMEONE!?” I yelled as I turned to face it. My hand/paw thing  glowed as I yelled ”Fury Swipes!”

I leaped up to it, and began slicing rapidly, steadily weakening it. I eventually slowed down and dropped down again. I quickly jumped back up and tried again.

”Sand-Attack!” I threw sand in it’s eyes, and it went crazy. It spun and flew into signs and poles a number of times before hitting the ground from about 3o feet up.

I looked at it. It wasn’t moving. Then, it shrank to a mist, which floated off somewhere.

”Well…” I sighed, catching my breath. ”That wasn’t too bad. I think.”

And with that, several more Gastly surrounded me.

”Aw, COME ON!”
