Ch. 13 Merry Christmas and Happy...Holidays?
Author Note (5/17/18): Holy s*** somehow when I wrote this chapter I didn't really know what the holocaust was. Holy crap, so sorry if that's a little offensive to anyone, I totally did not notice until just now. Hoooooooooooo boy...
Author Note (7/20/19): Okay, I finally decided to change it. So sorry again if anyone was bothered by the title.

The weeks went by, and the group bonded. I became friends with Harper, and became really close to Nelly. Doc was attached to us too. We trained and got pretty good. Only one problem. Adrian. The guy was still closed off from the group. He hardly ever talked to anyone.
Now it was Christmas time, and I was totally getting into it. I mean, it's freaking Christmas! I had helped around my house with decorating, and offered to do it for Doc. I was putting up lights on the front of her house when Adrian showed up that day. He saw me and asked me a question.
"What...are you doing?" He asked, giving me his usual annoyed look. I turned to him.
"Getting into the spirit of the holidays. Candy cane?" I replied.
"No. And what's with the hat?" He was not happy. Again.
"It's for Christmas, and besides, it's warm." I replied, moving the puffball from the santa hat to the back of my head.
He groaned and walked inside. I sighed and went back to my work.
Later, I was on break when Doc came in. "Oh, Todd, it's you. Good. I need to talk to you about Adrian. I'm worried about him."
"Don't." I replied. It was a normal question. Everyone worried about him.
"He's really closed off you know."
"So? He's always been like that since we met him. It's his way of life."
"Yeah, but now more than usual. I just hope he's alright."
I saw Adrian enter and start to leave. "Hey, are you alright?" I asked him.
"Peachy. See ya."
I turned to Doc with a classic expression of SEE? on my face. She sighed.
End Todd's Perspective
I was out in the world. This hadn't happened for a while. It was peaceful, though the air was quite chilling. I sat in the tree, looking around. Nothing really happened since my confrontation of the children.
I saw the older child from the tree. I shifted to watch him closer. He walked alone in silence. I decided to follow him. Perhaps I could find where these children group.
I followed him for a while. Eventually, the child stopped beside a wooden display humans set up this kind of year. He walked to the center and stared at the small fake child inside. I prepared an Aura Sphere attack, and heightened my senses. That's when I heard it.
What the boy said.
"Hey little guy." He breathed out. I stood in firing position for a while. He did know it was a fake child right? What had he meant by it? I stood there for a while longer. I heard the intercom in my ear began to sound.
"Operation Sideshow is a go." A voice spoke.
I sat for a moment. I responded. "Understood. I will return quickly."
I turned back to the building. What had that boy meant by that?
End Lucario's Perspective
I stood in the crowd and looked for an opening. I did this for a while till I did find a spot. I pulled Nelly and Harper there. We stood and watched for a while. It was a great parade, but I was kind of distracted. Doc had been right about Adrian...
I heard a voice say, "Hey, what's that in the sky?" and I felt my Pokedex vibrate. I reached for it and looked up. The sky was darkening as if with a cloud. It was pretty far away, but it was strange. That's when a Pokemon jumped smack into the middle of the parade. I pointed the -dex at it and read up.
Machoke. Muscle Pokemon. Fighting Type. It uses powerful skills to combat it's enemies. It is said that the belt on it's waist allows it to control it's power.
"Whoa." I gasped. I hid back so I could morph, and jumped out to face it.
"Hey, big guy! Merry Christmas!" I threw Nelly at him in a move we had practiced quite a few times. She approached and was knocked away easily. Machoke pounded the ground. Adrian, Harper and I were sent flying. I pulled myself up and saw Machoke jump away. I then noticed everyone staring at us in shock.
"Don't worry, people! Nothing's gonna..." I saw my arms.
They weren't Sandshrew's.
I panicked. I must have morphed back from the hit! And now...People continued to eye us.
...Now everyone knew who we were. That we were freaks.
I felt like I was not wearing anything but underwear. I gulped. Then someone screamed.
Fortunately enough, they weren't screaming about us. Unfortunately, they were screaming about the fact that the strange sky was extremely close, and that all the people inside it were, well, not looking too good.
Police officers began evacuating people. It was total chaos. I thought I saw someone standing still in it all though. The crowd cleared. I saw who it was.
Taylor. (See chapter 1)
"Taylor, I..." I tried to speak, but her mom grabbed her and got her out of there. I dropped down. I couldn't believe it. What would happen to us? What?
