Ch. 7 Secrets and Lies (Well, Not Really)

”Huh…what do you want from us?” Asked Adrian, who apparently wasn’t all that paranoid about not wearing any clothes.

”Well, I have studied the openings to the Pokemon world, and have discovered that the borders are greatly weakening. They can… get through easily.”

”So… I guess you want us to stop them before they cause any trouble. To be almost like border police.” Harper smiled.

I smiled ”So, team thing right? What do you guys say? Hands in?”

(Chirp. Chirp.)

”WOW, Doc, were the crickets REALLY necessary? REALLY!?”

”On more important stuff, how can we stop Pokemon if we don’t understand ourselves?” Harper questioned.

”Yes, well, these are called Pokemon Data Indexes, or Pokedexes. They have all my recorded data on Pokemon. Trust me. I have a LOT of recorded data on Pokemon. And right now…” She pointed the Pokedex at Nelly.

It beeped and an automated voice stated: Emolga. Flying Squirrel Pokemon. Electric and Flying type. It stores electric power in it’s cheeks. it can glide to escape capture or defeat.

It was then pointed to me, and beeped again: Sandshrew. Shrew pokemon. Ground type. It can dig quickly to travel from one place to another. It can learn many varied types of attacks.

Adrian was next: Sableye. Darkness pokemon. Dark and Ghost type. It has a steady diet of gemstones. It’s type combination gives it no weaknesses. ”Not bad…” Adrian muttered.

Last was Harper: Piplup. Penguin pokemon. Water type. It tends to be independent, and refuses help since it believes it is too powerful for help.

”Interesting.” Doc mumbled. ”Anyway, take these to learn about your foes. You can also help know yourself. If there’s an emergency, it will have data on it. But, you all should get home to your families. They will be waiting I’m sure. Good luck. And be careful.”
