An Accident...?

Kaka and others reached the haveli and got down from the car. Trilochan kaka stretched and looked around the haveli. It was still the same. The Haveli was painted white in color with red carvings. At the entrance two men were standing on the alongside of the huge iron gate. The path leading to the Haveli was of stones and pebbles along with some bushes and flowers on each side. While entering through the iron gate, on the left side there is a small sitting arrangement. The family whenever used to come, used to sir together, spending time and creating memories. A small swing was also there 28th small flowers and leaves, tied around it. Huge trees were also their like peepal and some other fruit trees like oranges, mangoes and apples.
On the right side their was a huge fountain, in which small birds were drinking water while the swans were swimming and the pink lotuses were floating.

Kaka smiled looking around and said to Binoy " Binoy. Yaad hai kya tumhe, bachpan mein kaise Anirudh aur Som yahan aake khela karte the. Shubra behen thak jaati thi unke peeche bhaag bhaag ke."

" Haan da. Kitne pyaare aur haseen din the na woh?" Binoy said remembering Anirudh's and Somnath childhood. He turned and saw Bondita running behind Batuk who was trying to save his life from his boudi. Binoy giggled making Trilochan look at him. He looked at Binoy's direction. He laughed along with Batuk.

Anirudh got off from the car irritated by their childish behavior. He stood on the entrance of the door when Batuk came, turned Anirudh and behind him. Bondita was holding a pot full of water, which she thought she will use it in drenching Batuk but alas, Anirudh became the victim. Anirudh wiped his face and looked at Bondita with one eye. He saw that the pit fell down from her hands, her eyes went big as saucers and her hands were hanging in air.

Batuk assumed the situation and tip toed to his room. Before completely going inside the Haveli Batuk turned, gave toothy smile and raised his eyebrows, and showed his thumb wishing her all the best. Bondita narrowed her eyes and raised her hand but looking at Anirudh, she stepped back. Anirudh took a step forward while she backed.

" Bon..di..ta.." Anirudh called out her name slowly gritting his teeth and smiling sarcastically and rolling up his sleeves while Bondita said moving back with a light fake smile " Haa.."

" Aaj tum gayi." Anirudh said and was about to run when Bondita showed her hand. " Ek min." Anirudh looked at her while she took a step back and ran, while screaming " Aaaa". Anirudh ran behind her and tried to catch her but failed. He saw a running water pipe. He held and putting his finger on the part where the water was flowing, he showed it at her. Bondita ran to and fro trying to escape but alas she couldn't. She came near him and tried to stop, but she slipped and fell on the ground. The pipe fell down and Anirudh laughed and held out his hand. Bondita looked at him and was about to hold his hand, when she fainted.

Anirudh eyes widened and his laughter ceased. He sat beside her and poked her arm called out her name but she didn't wake up. The incidents from Vanshika's death came flashing in his mind. Vanshika was also lying on the ground, like this not responding to her calls. He held her head and put it on his lap and patting her cheek, " Bondita utho. Mein mazak kar raha tha. I am sorry."

He hugged her and moved to and fro when he heard her laughing. He looked down to see her laughing. Both of them got up. Bondita was laughing continuously while Anirudh stared at her with disbelief. " Enough." Anirudh shouted making Bondita look at her.

" Har cheez mazak hai kya tumhare liye? Haan? What the hell were you thinking ?" Anirudh shouted while Bondita looked down.

Bondita's eyes became full of tears. She wiped them and looked at him apologetically.
" Sorry." She said while Anirudh looked at her and walked away.

Bondita hit her forehead and walked like a lost puppy behind him. Anirudh walked inside with anger while Bondita walked behind him scared. He went to his room while she went to hers.
