A changed behavior?

Bondita woke up only to see Anirudh wasn't there. She looked around but didn't find him. That's when she heard two giggling voices inside the washroom. Bondita stood on her feet and walked towards the sources of noise.
Peeping inside, she saw Anika and Anirudh playing with water and laughing.

Bondita smiled and gazed at them for a while when she realised something. She took 'baliyan" just how grandmothers and mothers do to keep them safe from evil eye. Bondita was about to leave when her sarees pallu got stuck on the door.

She turned, and tried to take out the pallu Stucked, but couldn't do so. She was so lost in it that she didn't realise when Anika came and pulled the door so hard that Bondita lost her balance and was about to fall but at the mean time Anirudh held her. One hand on her waist while the other on her shoulder. Anika looked at her and said " Sorry Mumma." and ran away.

Bondita was breathing heavily when she felt his cold wet hands on her waist. She looked down nervously, not able to look in his eyes. Anirudh asked " Theek ho?".

Bondita nodded and removed her hand from his shoulders while Anirudh did th3 same. Bondita turned to move away when she was again pulled back by the door and then she removed about her saree.

" Aree chalo na. Der ho rahi hai mujhe." Anirudh said to which Bondita frowned and said " Han toh mein konsa yahan khudai ka kaam kar rhi hoon. Agar aapko yaad ho toh mein bhi ek lawyer hoon. Mujhe bhibder ho rhi hai. Woh bas meri saree atak gayi hai iss darwaze pe." Saying this Bondita took a deep breath as she said it in one go.

Anirudh with wide open eyes without moving heard her. He slowly nodded and looked at the stuck saree. He looked at her who was eying at the saree like a child eyes at candy.
Anirudh sighed and shaked his head in disbelief and helped her.

Bondita smiled and hugged Anirudh as he helped her. Anirudh was taken a back with this excitement. He patted her back little shocked. Bondita realised and before she could move Anika like little monkey climbed Anirudh's back. Anirudh's one hand was on Bondita's back while the other was holding Anika from behind.

" Hug mere bina kar rahe the aao log. Gandi baat. Lekin ab aa gayi hoon na. No worries." Anika said in a cute English and bengali accent voice. Bondita and Anirudh laughed hearing her.

Bondita broke the hug and stood little away.
Anika jumped on the floor and ran towards the dressing table. Anirudh was about to go behind her when Bondita stopped him.

" Aap theek hai na?" Bondita asked softly to which Anirudh looked at her with no emotions. But hiding it, he smiled and nodded.

" Pakka?" Bondita asked to which Anirudh showed thumbs up and smile and went behind Anika.

Bondita found his behavior weird. Nevertheless she prayed that everything gets sorted very soon.

One week later.

Bondita was frustrated. She was frustrated with her life and as well as Anirudh. Anirudh's behavior was disturbing her. She knew he was keeping an act infront of the family so that they don't worry much. But Bondita knew him better.

She tried to talk about this to him but he used to deny or divert the topic. Cherry on top, Bondita was frustrated because she was unable to solve a case. She everytime felt like she got a clue but it wasn't true.

There was this one time when she had almost made hum blurt out the truth but a stupid phone call ruined it and made Anirudh again run away.

It hurts seeing a person who taught you to not to run away is himself doing the same. Bondita wanted him to speak and clear the burden he is holding. She wanted to tell him and give the assurance that she was there for him, always.

But at the moment the things weren't in her favor. How she wished that a fairy came from the sky and with her magic wand she with will say some magic words and swag her wand and everything would be back to normal. But this is just in imagination.

She wanted a break from everything. But she knew she can't. Sighing frustratedly, she went to kitchen to make a cup of coffee for her. Anirudh wasn't home yet. And she wanted to have "A Serious Conversation" with him.

She was sitting inside the study on the chair looking at nothing particular. When she heard footsteps. The footsteps weren't normal. It sounded weird. Like as if someone drunk is walking.

Bondita stood up and slowly walked. She stood infront of  the door and taking a deep breath, opened it. As soon as she did, Anirudh fell in her arms, as he stumbled on his feet.

Hey all
Sorry guys for irregular updates. Umm, well for some mote days it will continue as I am tired  stressed and busy with college admission and entrance exams and all.
So bear for my absence for few more days.
