Confession - A heartfelt conversation (1)

Anirudh was silently siting on the chair, when a hook fell down from the shelf. Silently walking, he picked it up and kept it on the shelf. While keeping it on the shelf, his eyes went towards the huge frame which was hung on the wall. Him, Anika and Bondita.

Infront of it small murti of Durga Maa and beside it small photoframes of Anika and Bondita and Bondita and family. He picked the one which had Bondita and Anika's picture.

Sitting on the Sofa, he admired the picture. The picture forced him to go back to the memory lane.

Flashback

Bondita was lying on the bed with fever. She was shivering with cold, when she felt a warm hand on her forehead. Opening her eyes she saw Anirudh sitting there with frown.

" Kaaha tha, Raat ko kulfi mat Khao. Lekin nahi, meri baat koi sunta hau kya?" Anirudh said taunting and helped Bondita to sit.

" Taana maarte rahenge yaa dawai bhi denge." Bondita said and sneezed. Anirudh gave her his handkerchief and said " Oehele khanaa toh Khao."

Bondita made faces seeing the bowl of Daliya. She nodded in No, but Anirudh showed his eyes to which Bondita gave in. Finishing the food, Anirudh gave her medicine and water.

At the meantime Anika came running with even changing her clothes. " Maa kaise ho aap? "

" Rakshas ke saath thi, bore hua. Ab aap aa gaye ho, ab maze karenge." Bondita said to which Anika giggled and nodded. Anirudh frowned hearing Bondita and pinched her arm.

" Aa. Chimti kyun kaati?" Bondita asked to which he said " Rakshas hoo na, kya karun?". Anirudh said to which Anika hit him with a pillow. " Maa ko tang mat karo."

" Maa ki chamchi. Ruko tum." Saying this Anirudh tickled her and three of them laughed. Anika to save herself, hugged Bondita and Bondita acted as a sheikd.

Anirudh smiled seeing their bond when three of them heard clicking sound. Looking at the door, Anirudh saw Kaka struggling with the camera.

" Kya kar rHw hai aap?" Anirudh said walking and standing near him. " Tasveer kheechna chah rha hoon. Ho hi nahi raha." Anirudh smiled and showed him how it's done. He clicked the picture of Bondita and Anika and showed him. Kaka took it to put it inside the frame. While Anirudh again went towards Anika and Bondita.

Flashback ended.

Anirudh came out of his thoughts as he saw the frame had fallen down and glass was broken. Picking it up, he held it safely and lied down on the bed and dozed off.

Bondita on the other hand was sitting on the bed looking at the almost full moon when she felt a tap on her shoulder. Looking behind, she saw Dhruv standing with a small smile.

A sweet smile came Bondita's face and she looked down. Kneeling infront of Bondita, he lifted her face and asked
" Inn khubsoorat aakhon mein gham kyun?".

Bondita patted on the bed, indicating him to sit next to her. Dhruv did what she asked.

" Andar se ek ghutan si ho rhi hai. Ek guilt." Bondita said softly, to which Dhruv intertwined his fingers with hers and asked " Kis cheez ki?"

" Aapse kiya vaada todne ki.." Bondita said and looked at their hands. Dhruv, caressed Bondita's palm with his fingers and said " Mujhe bura nahi laga Bondita."

" Aapko lage ya na lage, aap kabhi batate hai kya? Pagol maanush."Bondita said and Dhruv slightly laughed.

" Aap has rahe hai?" Bondita said to which Dhruv stopped laughing and gently wiped her tears. " Dil pe aur pyaar pe kisi ka bas nahi hai Bondita. Agar pyaar hona likha hai, toh woh toh hona hi hai na."

" Kis mitti ke bane hai aap? Kya aapko bura nahi laga ki meine aapse kiya vaada tod diya. Meine aapse vaada kiya tha ki mein aapke ailava kisi aur ke baare mein nahi sochungi, par socha. Pyaar bhi kar liya." Bondita shouted at him to which Dhruv just smiled.

" Bura lagta toh bhi mein kya kar leta shona. Mein ab iss duniya mein thodi na hoon, jo tumhe rok leta." Dhruv said with pain in his voice.

Bondita broke down infront of him.
"I am sorry.." Bondita uttered. Dhruv hugged her and Bondita cried even harder keeping her head on his chest.

" Pyaar hona galat nahi Bondita. Sacha pyaar usssi se hota hai, Jisse aapka milna Tay ho. Mein tumhara Sacha pyaar nahi tha Bondita. Anirudh hai." Dhruv said caressing her head, as she calmed down.

" Naa zindagi mein, na maut mein, na pyaar mein, hume insan mein kisi pe bhi haq nahi hai. Hum isse nahi rok sakte. It's nature Bondita. Tumne koi vaada nahi toda hai Bondita. Don't worry." Dhruv said calming her.

Bondita broke the hug and looked at him with her tearful red eyes. " Haye aise mat dekho, jaan chali jayegi. Kitni pyaari lag rhi hai." Dhruv said dramatically keeping his hand on his chest. Bondita hit his arm and laughed. Dhruv smiled seeing her laughing.

He again held her hand and holding it tight said " Mujhse ek vaada karogi."

Bondita nodded. " Chaahe kuch bhi ho, kabhi himmat mat haar na. Kabhi kisi ko bhi yeh haq mat dena ki tumhe as an option treat kare. Vaada karo." Dhruv said to which Bondita promised.

" Waise ek baat kahun." Dhruv said to which Bondita nodded. "Mein Anirudh se zyada handsome hoon." Saying this he sheepishly smiled while Bondita hit him with a pillow.

" Chalo mein chala." Dhruv said standing up to which Bondita said "Mat jao."

" Jaana zaroori hai. Par mein humesha tumhare saath hoon shona." Dhruv said to which Bondita hummed and said " I know."
Dhruv kissed her forehead and walking backwards vanished in the air.

Bondita lied down on the bed, thinking tomorrow she will confess. She was excited and nervous. Thinking all of this, she slept.

Next Morning

Anirudh had slept in the same position, but holding the frame close to his chest unknowingly. As the rays peeped inside his room and fell in his eyes, he stirred in his sleep. The rays troubled him so much that he woke up. Yawning he stood up and kept the frame back to its place. He remembered the last night events and sighed deeply.

He was going out when he saw the cup of coffee, with a small note.

Good morning,
Aaj shaam jaldi ayega na. Kuch kehna hai. Please .

Bondita

No, he was not ready for this. He didn't want this. Keeping the note, on the table, he was about to go out when he her voice.

"Kahan jaa rhe ho awni.."

Anirudh turned and whispered " Vanshika..."
