Promise.

Night,
11:30 pm.

Anika wasn't able to sleep. She was continuously tossing and turning on bed. She was having little head ache and cough. She sat on the bed staring at nothing particular.

Anika : Kya karun? Neend nhi aa rhi.
Maa ke paas jaun? Haan yeh sahi rahega.

She got up and ran to Bondita's room.
To her delight, she found her awake but engrossed in some files. She didn't want to disturb her, so she walked aimlessly in the corridor. She reached near Study and found that her Baba was awake and reading some book.

She went happily to him and said : Baba.

Anirudh : Anu. Tum soyi nhi ab tak.

Anika: Baba woh neend ....

The telephone rang.

Anirudh, ignoring: Anu tum batao kya hua?

Anika,smiling lightly: Nahi Baba kuch nhi. Bas yahi batane aayi thi ki kal mere school mein PTM hai. Aap aayenge na?

Anirudh, smiling: Baba ki Anu kuch bole aur woh woh cheez poori na Kare aisa kabhi ho sakta hai kya?

Anika nodded in No.

Anirudh: Anu sach mein yahi baat hai na ?

Anika : Baba woh..

The telephone again rang and he sighed getting up.

Anirudh: itni raat ko kon call karta hai? Ek sec Anu.

Anirudh picked up the phone while Anika sadly left the study.

She was roaming in the haveli when she dashed with Kaka.

Kaka : Anu soyi nhi ab tak? Koi pareshaani hai kya beta?

Anika : Nhi Dadu. Bas aise hi. Neend nhi aa rhi thi toh socha thoda Ghoom loon.

Kaka : Bachon ko aise raat mein ghoomna nhi chahiye. Warna bhoot aa jayega.

Anika,narrowing: Kya dadu aap bhi?

Kaka : Arre Shotti.

Anika : good night.

Kaka : shubh raatri.

Kaka went to his room while Anika started to go to her Room.

She lied on bed and looked at the moon which was shining brightly.

She heard the door opening and closed her eyes hastily.

Anirudh: Anu.. soh gyi kya?

He went towards her and sitting beside her caressed her hairs. He kissed her forehead and left the room. As he left,Anika opened her eyes. She sat on the bed and clutched her head with her tiny hands.

Anika, crying: Maa...

Bondita in her room was sitting engrossed in the file. She felt little uneasy. Keeping the file aside she said: Baaki ka kal dekh lungi.
Anu..Anu soh gyi kya? Dekh ke aati hoon.

She was on her way to her room when she stopped koyli and asked: Koyli didi. Anu ne doodh piya tha kya?

Koyli: Maaf karna Maalkin woh kaam ke chakar mein bhool gyi. Aap do min rukiye mein abhi leke aayi.

Bondita: nhi rehne dijiye. Aap thak gyi hongi. Mein bana loongi. Aap jaiyiye aaraam kar lijiye.

Koyli: pakka na Maalkin.

Bondita: Haan.

Bondita went to the kitchen and heated the milk. After the milk was little warm she mixed some amount of Haldi and headed towards Anika's Room.
