After coming back home realisation hit me hard. The guy who tried to kill me was not only my new classmate. No. He of course had to be my new neighbour as well.
This all was some kind of joke but I wasn't laughing. I needed to talk to someone, to tell them everything.
My mom?? Uh… no. I couldn't tell her, she was always busy and now even too far away.
Victor??? Not either… I felt like I already relied on him too much anyway. And to be completely honest, he now found a girl he liked, which didn't sit well with me.
I know pretty childish, but maybe to Jack…
Although if I think about it… it might be not the best thing to talk about something like that with someone you've just met and find pretty cute. That at least I know.

I needed to go to bed, that's too much for a day. I needed to relax. So I took a nap. But I didn't realise that I fell asleep for a little longer. I woke up when my mom called me from downstairs.
"Liz!!!
Breakfast is ready…" Mom called.
"Wait! what? BREAKFAST??
Shit! How long did I sleep?
It's already a new day??? I need to get ready ASAP…" I freaked out.
I got ready for school ASAP and went downstairs.
"Morning, sleepyhead." Mom said with a sweet smile.
"Hey, mom.
When you came back?" I asked Mom .
"One hour ago.
Did everything go well yesterday?" Mom asked.
"What do you mean?" I said.
"With neighbours…" mom replied.
"Yeah." I said.
"What are they like?" Mom asked.
"Your typically neighbour. Nothing much to say. Kinda boring, lots of small talk, that's it. I need to go to school, I'm pretty late already. Bye..." Guess I'm a good liar.

I rushed to school. I was scanning the crowd. I subconsciously looked out for him…
I bumped into Jack accidentally in the school middle hall.
"Whoa there…
Are you okay?" Jack said.
"I'm so sorry…" I apologized.
"Don't apologize.
Who were you looking for?" Jack asked me.
"I wasn't looking for anybody. I just hurt so I tried to feel better." I answered.
"Okay…
So, do you feel better now?" Jack said.
"Yeah! totally." I was assured.
"Should we go to class?" Jack insisted.
"Yeah, I'd love to." I agreed.
We went inside the class and took our seats together.
"You look... beautiful today." Jack said like he was blushing.
"Only today?" I asked.
"What…!? No-no.
I mean you always look beautiful. I didn't mean-" Jack tried to explain.
"I'm just kidding.
Thank You." I was thankful.
"You're welcome." Jack said with that sweet smile.

That's when Mr. Smith came in.
"Let's start with the lesson.
Open your book on page 71 and work on the task." Mr. Smith started.
Ian again came late.
"Ian King!!!!" Mr. Smith shouted at Ian.
"That's my name." Ian said with a careless smile.
Suddenly, I noticed he was looking at me with those lost eyes, like he was thinking about something.
"Not that again!
Hellooo…. IAN… " Mr. Smith said.
"What?" Ian responded.
"Just go to your seat." Mr. Smith said angrily.
I saw Ian was sitting alone. I didn't know why! But I was only looking at him and ignoring the class, it was happening unknowingly.
Mr. Smith noticed that I wasn't paying attention to the class.
"Miss Varon!
As you seem to finish the task already, do you mind answering the related question?" Mr. Smith asked me al of a sudden.
"Uhm… umm…" I was doomed. I couldn't think of anything.
But I tried to answer.
"Uhm, is not the answer. Any other guesses?" Mr. Smith asked me again.
"It's 23.09%." Ian answered.
"What?" Mr. Smith asked shockingly to Ian.
"The answer, Mr. Smith. It's 23.09%." Ian said.
"I didn't ask you, Mr. King." Mr. Smith angrily said.
"Does it matter that much?
You wanted an answer, I gave you it. Problem solved." Ian replied with his cool expression.
"That is NOT how it works." Mr. Smith shouted at Ian.
"Whoa there, Mr. Smith.
Please don't stress yourself out too much or else your vein will pop again." Ian said with her cool COOL expression again.
"Everyone continue reading." Mr. Smith said.
Guess Mr. Smith also could not win over Ian.

Class was over. Jack and I were at the school hall.
"Do you have any plans today?" Jack asked me.
"Not really." I said.
"Today's some party where a few of us are going. You wanna join?" Jack insisted.
"I've to ask my mom first but if she's okay with it then yes!!" I said.
"Cool." Jack said with a smile.
There I saw Ian. I wanted to talk to him, I guess. So I had to say goodbye to Jack.
"Sorry Jack, I've got something to do… Bye…" I said and left.
"See you…" Jack said.
I went to Ian and stopped him.
"Hey!
You didn't have to answer for me in the class. I was about to answer." I stopped Ian and said confidently.
Yes, I was feeling like he did a favor to me. I mean, hell no… I didn't need any favor girl… we handle our things.
"After a few years of your 'uhmm…' continuation." Ian said.
"I was just thinking." I said.
"And I thought faster. And also I didn't do it for you. Slow people annoy me." He explained with his coolest voice.
"Don't pretend like you know everything." I said angrily.
I felt like I was getting insulted again.
"But I do know everything." Ian said.
"You're so arrogant." I said.
"Was that supposed to hurt me? Ouch!!" He said with those careless dramatic cool expressions and left.
He always acted like he didn't care about anything.
"What a dickhead!!!" I was pissed.

I went outside, near the school garden. There I saw Maeve, she was arguing with some boys. I went near.
"Don't fuck with me!" Maeve warned those boys angrily.
"Watcha wanna do? Huh?" One of those boys said.
"Puch us with those little fists?
I'm scared!" Those boys totally underestimated Maeve and made fun of her.
Maeve got angry and punched one of those boys on his face. That was pretty hard. That boy totally knocked down to the floor.
"You little bitch!!!" Other boy said angrily.
"You wanna be next?"So, Maeve knocked him too. Now the boys were scared. They went back. After they left , I went to Maeve.
"You really got some balls." I praised Maeve.
"They think they are stronger, just because I'm smaller than them. Stupids." Maeve said with her badass expression.
"Obviously." I agreed.
"Well then, bye." Mae said.
"Hey, are you going to this party today?" I asked her.
"What? No…
Not my scene. I got better things to do." Mae replied.
"Like what?" Samantha asked Maeve inbetween shockingly.
She was near, heard our conversation and interrupted.
"Sitting in your tiny room and crying because you are a loser?" Samantha insulted Maeve.
"Are you talking about yourself?" I said to Samantha.
"What did you just say?" Samantha asked surprisingly.
"I said, are you talking about yourself? Did you hear me now?" I said confidently.
"What's your name?" Samantha asked.
"Liz." I said.
"Look, Liz.
You're not on my list yet. And if you are on my list then life will be bad for you. Trust me.
I"ll let you choose now. Choose wisely." Samantha said like she was threatening me.
"You can add my name to your list." I said with my cool expression.
I just wanted to put that bitch bee down, I guess.
"Your choice.
Ah and by the way, we're gonna be at the party. So don't even think about coming." Samantha said with her rude mean expression.
Then she left with her minions.

"You didn't have to do that." Maeve said.
"But I wanted to." I replied.
"You got some balls yourself…
Who would've thought…" Maeve said.
"I'll take the compliment and ignore the rest." I said.
"If I think about it again.
Going to the party might not be the worst plan." Maeve said.
"Really?" I asked her.
"Just seeing her face if we show up will make it worth it.
You want me to pick you up?" Maeve preferred.
"Sure thanks." I thanked her.
Shit, why did I say yes! I had to ask my mom first!
