Chapter 41

After all the mean girls exhausting contest, I needed a break. I was tired. I went to girls locker room to change those cheer girl dress, and wear my most comfy dress. When I opened my locker, suddenly someone turned off room's light and came near me. When I turned around I saw it was Kate.
"Oh my god!
You scared the shit out of me." I said to Kate but she kept staring me.
"What's wrong...?" I asked Kate.
"I can't figure out what he sees in you. You look so plain and boring." Kate said.
"Why, thank you." I replied confusingly.
"Just because you smell so…
Hmm… Ian drank from you right?" Kate asked me.
I almost forgot that Kate was a Vampire as well. A Vampire who disliked me. Very much.
"I wonder how you taste like.
I wonder if your blood is the answer to Ian's obsession over you." Kate said.
Then she held my hand so tight.
"Let go!" I said.
Kate was about to bite me but that's when Elijah came and turned on the light. And Kate stopped from biting me.
"Hi." Elijah said.
"Who are you?" Kate asked Elijah. But then she realised that Elijah was a Vampire too.
"Oh. Hey cutie, we're in the middle of something. You know." Kate said to Elijah.
"Get Out." Elijah said to Kate.
"What?" Kate asked.
"I said GET OUT." Elijah said to Kate.
Elijah's voice was dangerously calm. But his body completely tense. His eyes never left Kate's. You could almost see that familiar red glow in them. They stared each other.
"You're not a match for me little boy." Kate said to Elijah.
"I'd love to find out." Elijah replied.
His voice drained from any emotion. Elijah always had this slight insanity to him. Most of the time it appeared as playful and quirky. But not now. He looked almost as intimidating as Ian did. And I could see that Kate was also aware of that too. She didn't let anyone see her fear, but I could feel her stiffness radiating through her body. They stared each other.
"Whatever." Kate said and left.
Then Elijah came near me.
"You okay?" Elijah asked me.
"Yes, now I am.
Thank you." I answered.
Elijah didn't say anything, he only stared at me. His face was still on the slight edge of insanity. Then all of a sudden, his expression changed and he took a deep breath.
"You look hot by the way.
I did imagine you in a cheer outfit before but seeing it in reality is even better." Elijah said with that smile.
And got back to Elijah mode. Which I didn't mind to be honest.
"Are you capable of thinking of anything else than dirty things?" I asked Elijah.
"I'd lie if I say yes.
To be fair you make it really hard for me to have any other thoughts. Like literally." Elijah answered.
"I honestly don't know what to say to that." I said.
"It's okay Liz, we don't need to talk. I'm completely fine with us not talking. Like really fine.
Let's do ther things instead okay? Things where we don't have to talk. Because you don't wanna talk right?" Elijah replied with his super flirty smile.
"This is the girls changing room, Elijah." I said.
"I'm well aware of that." Elijah replied.
"You can't be in here." I said.
"Don't you think that's discriminating? Just because I'm not a girl I can't enter this room. And be here with you. And not talk?" Elijah said.
"I don't think that's considered discrimination." I replied.
"I do." Elijah said.
Then his eyes seized me up and down. His hand grabbed my hip and he pulled me closer. His cloudy grey eyes were fixed on mine. Oh boy. He certainly didn't wanna talk. But that's when a girl came in, She saw Elijah and screamed.
"Jesus no need to be screaming!" Elijah said to that girl and left. But the girl was still screaming.
"For god's sake you can stop now! He's gone." I said to that girl and then she stopped.

School was over. I was going to the parking but I saw Betty was coming towards me.
"Oh… no. Please." I was thinking.
But, yep she came to me.
"Liz! How you doing girl?" Betty said to me.
"So good! And you?" I replied.
"I'm managing. School is exhausting." Betty said.
"True." I replied.
"So…
I've actually been looking for you." Betty said.
"You have?" I replied confusingly.
"It's about that new girl." Betty said.
"Kate?" I asked.
"Yes!
It looked like you two know each other." Betty said.
"Oh… uhm…
We met at a party sometimes ago." I replied.
"You did?
What's she like?" Betty asked me.
"We only talked for like five minutes. I don't really know her." I answered.
"Are you really sure you don't know anything about her? Her and Ian look close…" Betty said. So this was what it all about. Finally she was coming to her real point.
"Yeah seems like it." I replied. I totally played cool.
"I mean… they kissed." Betty said.
"Oh really?" I said. I showed her that I was totally fine with it but she was tensed.
"Yes. Nobody expected that.
And now she's going to our school as well." Betty said.
Betty still kept her usual innocent face, but I could see the corner of her mouth twitching. Girl was mad.
"Well yeah." I replied.
"If you had any information on her Liz, you would tell me, right?" Betty said. Okay this was creepy.
"Sure…" I replied.
"I mean it you need to tell me." Betty said. More creepy.
Before it's getting more creepier, Maeve came to us.
"Liz.
Are you coming?" Maeve asked me. This was my golden chance to get rid of Betty. And I took it.
" Uhm … YES!" I said and left with Maeve.
