KAO

"Who was that?" Pete ask as we entered the Black Rose, we are walking straight to our usual table whenever my friend and I hang out here.

"Hmm? Marcus?" He nodded. "Oh, a junior from Civil." He raised his eyebrow but didn't say anything else, for we are nearing where my friends are.

"Kao!" James stood up, round his around my neck and ruffled my hair. "Congratulation, full marks! I told you, you don't have to worry about it."

I just laughed as I removed his hand and proceeded to sit in between him and Pete, and he immediately give me an opened ice-cold beer, while the twins sit in front of us.

"I'm starting to think you are now famous as Pete." Leon commented after congratulating me.

"Huh? What do you mean?" I ask Leon with a frown.

"How do you think we know you got a full mark for your thesis?" Leon smirk and that got the attention of Pete and the twins, we all look at him curiously.

"How?" I finally ask after a few seconds of silence.

"DBU student page!" I blink at his beaming face several times before telling me to check it myself. I turned to Pete and he give me a small nod, telling me to do just that.

I see Sandee and Sixto also getting their phone as I get mine out of the pocket of my jeans. I unlock it, get to my social media app and opened the DBU student page.

My eyes went wide as I saw a picture of me and Pete hugging at the Engineering Student lounge with a caption: 'Look at that hug! Who would ever think this two will be this close? In another note, by that big smile on Kao's face I'm guessing he ace his defense. Congratulations!!'

"Read the comments." Matt interjected, I grimaced before looking at Pete reaction to the post, to my surprise he has a smirk on his face while peeking at the screen.

"What?" He gave me a side glance before looking back at my phone. "Go ahead, check it." He says gesturing at the phone I was holding.

The first one that caught my attention was a comment from a Civil Sophomore saying a friend of his heard one professor who is one on the panelist on my defense talking to my advisor that they all agreed to give me full marks on my thesis. That made me smile, but I don't want to get my hopes up until I receive my grade.

After that, I scroll down reading more comments about how Pete looks so good and thanking me for being close with him that he visits the engineering building often, that by just seeing his face makes there day complete.

I pouted at that, why is my boyfriend so popular? I was about to just leave the page for all the comments just irritate me when Pete speaks beside me.

"Lily like you?" There is a slight tone difference on the way he asks it.

I turned to look at him, "Huh?"

He then pointed at my phone screen, specifically to a particular comment. Saying: 'Kao is one of the cutest and smartest seniors in Engineering, but even Lily, the prettiest girl on campus, can't make him like her back.'

There was a lot of reply on that comments saying, that they have a crush on me, but they don't think they can even compete with Lily. A lot also say that they are already satisfied seeing me on campus and Glitzy café.

"Is she hitting on you?" Pete face look so irritated, sharp eyes, brows furrow and his lips pressed together into a thin line. I was about to answer when Matt speaks to Pete.

"Yeah, been hitting on Kao since our first year." I flinched at what he said, "But Kao made it clear that he doesn't like her back and can only be friends." Matt added, I take a deep breath not really happy about the topic.
