Light flicked on and pats of steps were heard along with the tinkling sound of the anklet being heard with every step Jungkook took towards the living room with his heart beating out of his chest.
Currently it was around one in the morning and Jungkook's eyes were irritating and red from all the crying he had done before. He waited for approximately three hours for Taehyung to come back to the room so that he could explain to the older man about his situation.
Maybe, Taehyung would understand.
"Stay where the fuck you are, I don't want to see your face, go back… liar."
Jungkook's steps immediately froze as he heard his fiancé's words, Taehyung's voice sounded slurred and thick as if he wasn't in his correct senses while he said his words.
"I- I trusted you, loved you yet you lied to me… how could you? I loved you so much… How could you do this to me? How could you when you knew that eomma was precious to me? Why didn't you tell me?"
Every word that fell on Jungkook's ears tightened his guts as he took steps towards the voice hearing raw sobs being heard that made his chest hurt physically with his stomach churning at the wails of his love.
"I said I don't want to see your face!" Taehyung roared as he threw the empty bottle of whiskey hearing the glass shattering but at least the tinkling sound had stopped that seemed way closer to him.
"Hyu-hyungie I promised he-her…" Jungkook croaked out, his eyes wide seeing those broken glass pieces twinkling under the lights.
"Promise, you say? What was this kind of promise that made you hide the fact that my mother was ill and had less time left with her?" Taehyung grunted out, his eyes felt irritated and heavy as he glared at the shadow of the person he thought was along the way honest with him.
He trusted Jungkook way more than he should, he gave the younger all the love he had, everything he could ever do so Jungkook would be happy.
And there was Jungkook hiding away the fact that the woman who held his happiness was going to leave him soon.
Just how cruel Jungkook could be.
"Since when? Since when did you know?"
"I knew before meeting you…" Jungkook whimpered as his legs gave out, making him sit on the cold floor, his eyes watering as he saw his nightmare becoming a reality.
This was going to be their end now, wasn't it?
His heart seemed to sink right down to his stomach as the feeling was way ugly than it seemed, the images of his nightmares flashed in front of his eyes as he took deep breaths clutching on his shirt hearing Taehyung's words that made it difficult for him to breathe.
"What made you think that I'd ever forgive you from hiding this from me? Were you going to keep in the dark for my whole life?" Taehyung barked out his question, his eyes holding fury as he kept glaring at the shadow while his hand itched to collide with something.
Pain spreading in any part of his body would rather than the pain that spread in his heart.
The pain in heart seemed like he'd suffocate and die— yet he wasn't dying though but it did feel like it.
These are how first deaths feel; it just numbs the person to the point they beg for their last death.
"I- I didn't want to… I didn't." Jungkook mumbled out almost freaking out because he couldn't raise his voice louder as his throat felt like it was clogged, he squeaked out because he couldn't speak anything with tears trudging down his flushed cheeks.
