"If you don't want me anymore then say it already! I'll leave!"
Those words that left Jungkook's lips still haunted Taehyung, his eyes staring up at the ceiling with his arms behind his head, ears still drumming with the sounds of his fiancé sobbing and begging for him to understand.
Still Taehyung didn't know what he was supposed to understand?
He has been lied to and betrayed by the ones he holds close to his heart. His mother who he cherishes the most decided to hide things from him and so did his fiancé.
Even the thought of it tightens his chest, thinking about how he'd be able to even go through his mother's funeral in near future.
Taehyung was dreading that day. He didn't want to experience that day at all.
His mother was well aware about how much he cared for her, how much her existence mattered to him because after his grandparents and father were no more his only support was his mom.
Everything he did in his life was to see his mother happy, he let go of all his other dreams just so he could see his mother proud of him, happy because of him.
She was just sixty-one, he was sure his mother could live a few more years ahead if she was given proper medication earlier but her condition has already been degraded to an extent that nothing could be done.
It was just the wait until her soul leaves her body.
And then she would be gone… gone forever.
Now, even Jungkook said he would leave.
He didn't know exactly which one of the both scared him the most— actually, he was scared of both those things happening.
Jungkook. His Jungkook said that he would leave him alone and honestly Taehyung thinks that he couldn't bear seeing his sweetheart leave him.
But then again he didn't want to talk to him, he just couldn't help but feel agitated whenever he thought that Jungkook could have said his mother's condition sooner so they would immediately get medical help and his mother would be healthier.
She would be fine.
She would live longer.
It's too late now, when he contacted his mother's doctor the woman had informed him that his mother's health had degraded to the point they couldn't do anything anymore— it's just the dreadful wait now.
"I don't wanna lose you eomma… why? Why did you do this to your Taetae?" He mumbled curling himself on the couch shivering a little when the cold air from outside entered the room through the gap of windows and he sat up and pushed them more apart staring up at the moon with tears leaving his eyes silently.
"I thought you wanted to see me get older, see me get married to your favorite child." He chuckled, sniffing as he wiped his tears, "play with my kids and tell them about my embarrassing moments of childhood." He whispered, climbing up the couch and sitting on the window sill letting the chilliness of the night winds nip his skin.
He didn't know how much time he was sitting up on the window sill but he started seeing those little snowflakes falling and he stretched his hand out to feel the iciness of it and his inky black eyes stared at the scenery in front of him seeing the snow covering the roads in a blanket of whiteness.
When a streak of light fell inside the room Taehyung knew someone had entered the room, little sniffs were heard and it was confirmed that it was Jungkook.
"It's cold, close the windows." Jungkook whispered looking at Taehyung who didn't even move after hearing his words, he just sighed before he entered the bathroom to brush his teeth since Jimin made him eat the birthday cake saying sweetness helps to deal with emotions as he narrated the older whatever has been going on between them.
