Taehyung's nerves seemed like they'd pop off any moment as he drove his way home, he was late and the night was still young but his urge to reach home as early as he could was on his top priority.

The moment he got a call from Jungkook hearing how his parents were there with him, in their home, was making him anxious and happy at the same time.

Jungkook sounded very happy, giggles never seizing as he explained Taehyung everything in selective words.

There was no doubt that Taehyung was tempted to rush then and there but his work was in mid way, all the meetings that were scheduled and all the work that was stopped because of his absence was supposed to move forward.

He was forced to stay back yet he left more than half of the work.

Finally parking his car, he almost ran up to the elevator since it was already descending down.

Anxiety bubbled in his veins, walking out of the elevator after being in that confined place for just some mere seconds, which seemed like the longest seconds he has ever lived in his whole life.

Walking through the silent hallway, Taehyung could feel himself slowing down as he stood right in front of his own apartment, literally contemplating over whether he should ring the bell or just use his key or call Jungkook so that he could be the one opening the door.

Deciding that he'd just ring the bell because that seems like the most decent way to approach his in-laws and they would probably find it weird if he called Jungkook while he was sure his finacé might be lingering around his parents.

All these things happening kind of fast and unexpectedly was the very reason his nerves were spiking up with anxiety.

Pushing his forefinger against the button, he ringed it waiting for the door to open as he shuffled his briefcase from one hand to another.

The door opened and as he wished, his sweetheart was the one who answered the door for him with the biggest smile on his face that left Taehyung's heart at ease and body placid.

"Welcome home, angel." Jungkook shyly used the nickname again and Taehyung thought he'd be used to being called by Jungkook like this but oh boy— his heart still skipped that merry beat.

"Thank you, love." Taehyung smiled, getting inside peeking in to see the exact elderly couple he had seen in the morning occupying the sofa, now seeming more comfortable since they both had taken their jackets off.

They smiled warmly at him and had no absolute reason not to smile back, just their presence was enough to know that they surely weren't any harm to him nor his fiancé.

Rolling his shoulders, Taehyung took off his own coat, a little wet because it was raining outside— it was just light showers though— hanging the coat on the pin along the door, seeing three other coats there, one belonged to Jungkook of course and that very two rich and exclusive ones surely belonged to the elderly couple.

Taking off his shoes Taehyung walked towards the living room, stopping when he felt a tug on his suit jacket, making him turn to look at his pouty baby having his eyes shining and lips jutted out.

Taehyung raised an eyebrow in question seeing Jungkook furrow his own before the younger tugged him near.

"Kissy?" Jungkook whispered, chin tilting up, having his lips jutted out wanting to get pecked by the older man.

"Your parents Jungkook," Taehyung sighed keeping his voice low, seeing Jungkook squint his eyes, "later."

"You are breaking the rule?" Jungkook's voice sounded as if he was offended and the statement came out as a rhetorical question.
