Tony - I Knew I Wasn't Enough - Angst/Smut

She was dancing with Wanda and Natasha as Tony had a sip of his martini, watching her. He didn't know how he got so lucky. She looked up at him and smiled before being dragged to the bar by Wanda to have a round of shots. She shot him the 'save me' look and he chuckled as he obliged.

"Trying to get my girlfriend drunk Maximoff?" Tony asked as he wrapped his arm around Y/N's waist and then he quickly turned to her. "Ya know I love the sound of that word. Girlfriend." Tony turns to the crowd, taking a microphone from one of his workers.

"Tony what are you..." Y/N couldn't even finish her sentence.

"Hey you all know that Y/N chose me to be her boyfriend right? She's my girlfriend!" He cheers into the microphone. She chuckles taking it from him, turning it off, and kisses his cheek. Little did Tony know how much his bragging about her actually meant to her. She constantly felt like she wasn't enough, especially when it was hard to keep the billionaire's attention. But that was Tony, the only thing that could really hold his attention was his work. He had always been that way, she would be lying if she said it didn't bother her but his work ethic was always something she loved about him,

"Come here my handsome goofball." She captures his lips in a firery kiss as he pulls her closer. They kissed as if they needed each other to breath as the crowd cheered for them. "You not only saved me but just made me feel like I'm the prettiest girl in the world." Tony could not help but stare at the woman in his arms as he nuzzled his face into her neck.

"You are the most beautiful woman in the world." He practically whispered these words to her as he nibbled her neck. Completely forgetting where they were, she entangled her fingers in his hair before a familiar voice pulls their attention.

"Tony, something in regards to the tower needs your attention." Pepper said in a stern tone. Y/N smiled sweetly at Pepper as Tony ignored his assistant and kept kissing Y/N's neck. Pepper rolled her eyes and then glared at Y/N

"Tony come on, don't make Pepper's job more difficult for her." Y/N said earning a groan of disappointment from him but he relented and left. Y/N sighed in defeat as Wanda brought her a glass of champagne.

"Pepper still doesn't like you, huh?" Wanda asked.

"She liked me before Tony and I were dating..." Wanda pats her back. "It's probably because I'm not enough for him... and she knows it." Wanda watched as Natasha drug her back to the dance floor with a concerned look.

"But all Tony thinks about is how he's so lucky to have you..." Wanda mumbles to herself before joining them.

"Why do you have to glare at her like that?" Tony asked Pepper. "She knows that you and Happy are my only family and she knows you don't like her."

"Your flings always over stay their welcome so I try not to get attached to them Tony." Pepper says plainly as they walk into Tony's office. "Now I need you to sign these papers." Tony does as he is told.

"But that's just it Pepper... she isn't just a fling." Pepper looks at Tony shocked for a minute and then smiles at him. "She is literally everything to me. She takes care of me so you don't have to. So stop being my assistant and be my CEO. Y/N's got ya covered on the taking care of me part."

"Well... thank you for signing this for your CEO and as your family..." Tony looked up at Pepper. "I really like her for you Tony." Tony smiled at Pepper before a woman cleared her throat.

"Mr. Stark? May I have a word?" The woman was skinny, had a model like body, and dirty blonde hair. She wore a red, short, and strapless dress that was skin tight with black strap on heals. She was very pretty. The woman then glared at Pepper. "Alone?" Pepper leans into Tony.
