Tony - You Were Wrong - Angst

"Well... he proved you wrong Rogers..." Y/N sobbed out as she rested her head on the now dark arc reactor connected to Tony's heart. "He was more than willing to make the sacrifice play time and time again... and now..."

"I didn't want this Y/N..." Steve admitted.

"LIAR!" Y/N shot up and went to lunge at the captain to only be held back by Rhodey and Peter. "YOU PREACH ABOUT MAKING A HUGE SACRIFICE BUT WHAT DO YOU KNOW OF IT WHEN YOU ARE STILL HERE?! IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN YOU!"

"Tony get up. Pepper dropped Morgan off." Tony quickly got out of bed to be with his two year old daughter. Both him and Pepper coparent really well, they had some bumps when the divorce papers had to be signed but other than that they did a good job. Tony tried everything to undo the snap that Thanos did which turned Peter and everyone into dust. Which caused the short marriage to ultimately end.

"Dad! Airplane!" Morgan cheered as she barreled in and jumped on him. Morgan was not even one when the divorce was finalized and already loved Y/N. "She's making us Mickey pancakes." Morgan whispered with a giggle.

"Well then we better go help her, huh?" Tony said groggily. As he got up Y/N handed him a cup of coffee. They then walked out into the kitchen of their huge apartment that wasn't far from Stark industries. Pepper remained CEO and enjoyed her work. Pepper also loved Y/N and they ultimately had a great relationship. Tony kissed her cheek. "What do you want me to do?"

"BACON!" Morgan cheered causing Y/N to chuckle,

"You heard the lady." Tony smiled and followed Morgan and the girl he had now been dating for almost a year. They all made the pancakes and bacon together, having an amazing Saturday morning.

Y/N looked at the destroyed compound and walked with those who were carrying Tony's lifeless body. Pepper had her arm wrapped around Y/N's shoulders to help ground the woman. Steve tried to come up to apologize to Y/N but Peter wouldn't let him near her.

"I don't think that's best Captain America sir..." Peter always looked up to Y/N, she was like the older sister he never had. She did almost all of the clerical work for the Avengers and was also one of the best shots in SHEILD. So she was there for everything from Loki trying to take over the world.

"Peter you don't understand..."

"Sir... I agree with her... about the making sacrifices part so... I'm going to protect you from her. Please leave." Peter then ran to catch up to Y/N and Pepper.

"Y/N!" Morgan cheered as she came in with her mom's helmet. "Look what I found!" Y/N chuckled as she took it off of the kid.

"Were we going through Dad's lab again?" Morgan had a cheeky smile on her face very similar to her dad's.

"He's updating Mommy's suite! Do you have one?" Morgan asked. "Dad says I get one when I am 16!" Y/N smiled. Tony had tried to make her a suite multiple different times but Y/N wouldn't let him. She says she can take care of herself.

"Is that so?" Morgan was lifted into Y/N's arms as Tony walked in.

"Yeah! Y/N we could be matching in suites! Please?!" Morgan gave her the puppy dog eyes that Y/N never could say no too. Tony then wrapped his arms around Y/N's waist and rested his chin on her shoulder.

"Yeah please?" Tony asked. Y/N kissed Tony's forehead.

"Alright you guys got me..." Tony quickly spun her around and captured her lips.

"Eeeeewwwww." Morgan teased. Tony and Y/N broke the kiss chuckling.

"Y/N I'm..." Scott started.

"Just leave please... I don't want anyone else's pity." Y/N was holding Tony's cold, dead hand as the pain shot through her. She won't get to feel his kisses or experience him and Morgan working together to convince her to participate in any scheme. No more will she enjoy their date nights or their family dinners with Pepper and Morgan. Not to mention having him wrapped around her as they slept. "P-Please tell me this isn't real..."

"I just want to..." She heard Steve start and sudden rage filled her completely as she stared at Tony. She got up and stormed out to the group.

"You just want to what?" Y/N snarled through her teeth. "How you broke your promise to lose together when this shit all started? Or how you betrayed your friendship by lying to him?!"

"Y/N..." Steve began again.

"No let her talk." Pepper chimes in.

"Or how about the fact you claim that you will make the sacrifice when you have made none that were inconvenient for you?!" Tears were streaming down her face as Morgan's face flashed through her mind. Her heart only breaking more. "And what of his daughter? She is left without her father now! God! You may be worthy of Mjolnir but that doesn't make you a worthy man. It seems to be able to wield Mjolnir you need to be an arrogant ass... no offense Thor." With that she stormed off with a final word.

"I don't want to be anywhere near you. If you come near me I will snap your neck."

"Y/N are you awake I..." Tony stopped as he stared at his now fiancé, trying on her wedding dress. She shrieked and wrapped her arms around herself as if that were to hide it. Morgan had just turned five and was excited to be a flower girl. Pepper and Morgan would tease and ask Tony why he hadn't asked Y/N to marry him until he did. She understood his anxiety just as much as he understood hers. He stared at the woman before him and almost dropped the breakfast he tried to make for her. He ended undercooking the pancakes.

"Tony it's bad luck to see the bride before..."

"Marry me now. Today." Tony cut her off.

"What?" Tony set the breakfast down and scooped her up in his arms.

"Marry me today... that's what I wanted to talk to you about. I can't bare another second of not being married to you."

"Ok." She smiled at him with tears in her eyes and they called Pepper to make sure it worked for her and Morgan's schedule. They wouldn't dare take away her moment as flower girl. Then they went to the courthouse not having a huge flashy wedding but to them it was perfect.

"Doll..." Bucky came up after Tony's funeral as Y/N sobbed by the lake after everyone left, or so she thought. She didn't look up as she responded.

"He never said it but... he forgave you in his own way..." Bucky sat down by here as she continued to hug herself.

"I want to help... I know that there isn't much I can do but..." She leaned her head on his shoulder as she stared out onto the lake.

"Keep Steve away from me would be a good start." She sighed out.

"You got it Doll..." He put his arm around her shoulders.

"I still blame him..." Y/N said. " Steve was completely wrong about him."
